BOOK REVIEW
Turtle Reef evolves into a book quite often hard to put down. Following the story of Zoe, a zoologist in a new job, the reader is drawn into the surroundings of Kiara where this story takes place.
Please Note: Please note; this book was not written from the perspective of a vegan or with a vegan character in mind. The reviewer has cautioned that this book contains non-vegan scenes such as horse riding, fishing and eating meat. It is important however to keep in mind that this book has an interesting way of looking at conservation and may be useful to guide people towards the realisation that animals are important, perhaps use this as a conversation starter with any friends who have not yet taken the step to veganism.
As the story progresses, it follows romantic triangles and tales of betrayal, while slowly educating the reader on how the actions of humans have greater consequences on the world around us; through the challenges faced by the protagonist and the decisions she makes in reaction to them. I give this three and a half kale chips out of five.
