it’s time to get chili JONATHAN COPSEY/HERALD
ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Alpharetta’s finest police officers and firefighters turned up the heat Feb. 27 for the annual chili cook-off at Fire Station No. 1, on Webb Bridge Road, trading their uniforms for aprons and chef hats. Visitors were treated to all-they-could-sample chili made by local public safety employees and voting declared a win-
ner – “Grandma Moose’s White Chili,” which took home the prize for best chili. The cook-off helped raise funds for the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation. For more about them, visit apsfoundation.org. —Jonathan Copsey
