Alpharetta City Hall construction on schedule Structure nearly complete By JONATHAN COPSEY jonathan@northfulton.com ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Even with frigid temperatures and plenty of rain, Alpharetta’s new City Hall is looking more like the building it should be – it’s gone from a large hole in the ground to the skeleton of a three-story building. The third floor was recently poured and the roofing is

Soon after will come walls, and then it’s just a matter of filling the interior. “We have started working through what sort of furniture is necessary,” said Alpharetta Deputy City Manager James Drinkard. ROSWELL, Ga. – Roswell’s Unified Development Code (UDC) is moving forward after the City Council approved the first presentation of the code at their Jan. 13 meeting in a 4-2 vote. The city has worked on updating its aging zoning code for more than a year. The UDC aims to simplify zoning codes so both develop-
ers and residents know what is expected of them. Roswell made the decision to update its zoning, which had been cobbled together over 40 years and multiple annexations of new land. “We have overly burdensome, confusing and sometimes prohibitive zoning ordinances,” said Roswell Community Development Director Alice Wakefield. “[The zoning code] clearly tells you what you can’t do, but not a lot about what you can do.” Wakefield said the goal of the code is to unify all of the development regulations to

Teen reported missing ROSWELL, Ga. – A 16-year-old Roswell girl was reported missing Jan. 10. The Roswell Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Natalia Mobley, a white female approximately 5-foot-8, 160 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and freckles. Mobley has been reported missing by her mother and was last seen at her home at 430 Tyson Circle in Roswell on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Police say Mobley allegedly has a history of suicidal thoughts. There is no known direction of travel or known vehicle. No Amber Alert has been issued. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mobley
