City moves forward to preserve past The Johns Creek City Council has begun action to acquire the historic Macedonia African Methodist Church Cemetery in an effort to supervise efforts to maintain the grounds as a historic site. While current ownership of the property is uncertain, the city stepped forward three years ago to provide upkeep. State archeologists have identified some 53-plus graves at the cemetery which was largely forgotten and overgrown until the 1990s. Read more, Page 14
