Summer begins with the opening of the city green MILTON, Ga. — The Village, also known as The Green, officially opened June 9 to the public with the first event of many. The privately funded park was recently completed and celebrated with a grand opening complete with bagpipes, a color guard, retail merchants, food vendors, live music and games. Bob Meyers emceed the event and spoke on how the park
will serve as a common gathering place for events as well as just sitting on a bench and enjoying the beauty of the park. The Village is located in front of Milton City Hall, 2006 Heritage Walk, just one block off of Crabapple Road. The Village will host of several future events including local farmers markets, Yoga on The Green, movies on the lawn, concerts, dog shows and more.
