[01] LOST & GOD’S RELICS Community Faith-Based Service Center

Personal work QuanZhou, FuJian province, China 2023 Sep. - Dec.(After Graduation)

Located in the southeast China, Quanzhou is a place where various types of religions have lived in harmony with the people for thousands of years, along with a variety of temples to the gods, including large and small religious altars of Buddhism, Islam, Catholicism, Christianity, and even Hinduism. In Quanzhou, divinity and humanity have reached a subtle integration, as sacrificial customs are still retained but do not greatly affect the local life. The construction of an activity space for the residents supports to fully integrate dual characteristics of Quanzhou’s humanity and divinity into the architecture. In this way, a new architectural space with strong local characteristics is created so as to realize a better integration of the physical and spiritual space of the future. Following the cultural path, the cultural customs of the local people are integrated into the architecture in the form of paths, especially into living buildings such as community service centers. It can better show the humanistic care of the building.

QUANZHOU RITUAL CUSTOMS In Quanzhou, important ritual customs happens each month, which in turn have several notable custom nodes. All these are in annual cycle, as the local belief is that the gods are a job that needs to be invited at the beginning of the year to offer sacrifices while being seen off to take a vacation at the end of the year.

The materials of the site as a whole are locally sourced and throughout the whole building, with water as the axis. The building, as a place for the residents to rest and worship the gods, is available both on a daily basis and during special festivals. Nature and spirituality not only can achieve a balance between man and God, but also are integrated to settle the dilemma of the lost relics of the gods. The entire building is a place shared by humans and gods. It can not only meet people's daily public activities, improve the living conditions of residents, but also make the original customs that have been forgotten to a certain extent regain people's attention.

[02] TOWERING--PAST, FUTURE A Museum Building Carried With A Flowing Track

Personal work BeiJin ,The Captain of China ,China 2022 Jun. - Sep.(Fourth Year In Univeristy)

Located in Beijing’s Shougang Park, the building combines a museum with a ferris wheel to provide a different perspective on the giant plants of the last century. These plants are undoubtedly huge from a human point of view, but on the same level with us by standing on the shoulders of the giants. Used to be China’s first large-scale steel mill, Shougang Park now has been transformed into a new industrial park covering parks, shopping malls and other service industries. On the site as the witness and a silhouette of the times, several factories and abandoned industrial products are remained, but with no important monumental building. A museum in the center of the park is built to better present the past as well as future of Shougang Park.

SITE PROBLEMS The venue is fully functional, including offices, leisure, entertainment, commerce, hotels, etc. The overall development is complete and the infrastructure on the site is well constructed. HOWEVER: first, the site lacks a commanding height, so people often view these huge industrial heritage from an upward angle. Therefore, it is difficult for people to find A SUITABLE ANGLE to see the entire building. In addition, areas with strong historical and cultural attributes lack MUSEUMLIKE BUILDINGS to tell local historical stories.

There are many distinctive old factories here, which are precious heritage from the last century. These old buildings are so huge that people can only look up at the entire industrial park from a narrow perspective.

Therefore, the project should consider both the centrality of the museum and the viewing angle of the exhibition.

It is really a pity that such shocking buildings can only be piled up in this park in the form of heritage.

COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF BUILDING HEIGHT

FORM GENERATION

Most of the original factories are around 40 meters in height, and their large size makes it difficult for people to see their entirety. However, increasing the height of the museum can provide a completely different perspective on those precious old building sites. There is also a shortage of buildings of this special nature in the center of the park.

CONCEPT GENERATION

From a high place, I can overlook almost the entire park and feel like I am in dialogue with the past.

4

At a height of 40M, I can look level with most of the old factories and see a more comprehensive view of the entire park.

From low down, I can see the details of the old building better, but I really want to see the whole picture of the old factory.

FROM THE OUTSIDE TO THE INSIDE Following the pedestrian bridge to view the entire park from a human perspective can only be disturbed by various types of obstructions. It is difficult for residents to view their environment from an overall perspective. And because of the difference in size, these old factories are inevitably It has a strong sense of oppression in people's hearts. But these will change according to changes in its altitude. The overall structure of the exhibition hall inside the building still adopts a steel structure, which fits the original site. In the outdoor exhibition area, the internal space height is greater than 7M, which can realize a temporary 2-story exhibition hall.

[03] FLOWING ISLAND WITH TIDAL Village And Floating Hotel Design

Personal work LingShui, HaiNan province, China 2023 Jul. - Oct.(After Graduation)

The project is located in the south of China, in the bay area. The project starts from the basic form of fishing rafts and combines it with the local traditional weaving industry to create a new tourist attraction that is integrated with the local area. We also hope to find a new integration method for Chinese rural architecture. The local primitive residents live on and near the sea all year round. The vastness of the sea and the limited range of activities make the people eager for a new place. A gathering place that can adapt to the special geographical environment and bring a new living environment to the people of the fishing village. It also helps people outside the village better understand and accept the local culture.

[04] A LIGHT-LEAKING SEASIDE THEATER URBAN AND ARCHITECTURE DESIGN

Personal work DaLian, Liaoning province, China 2023 Feb. - Jun.(Graduation Project)

The design is divided into two parts: urban design and architectural monolithic design. Despite being a new area for economic construction in Dalian, Donggang Business District is always a forgotten place due to the lack of many urban infrastructures at current stage. I hope to make this area extensively recognized as it enjoys good natural landscape. To attract local residents and tourists by organically combining the city’s residential, cultural, and coastal landscape areas. The theater is more systematically designed to provide a combination of architecture and inhabitants, so that people shouldn’t be participants in the architecture, but the architecture should be a medium of communication. I hope that this beach theater can be a place for the residents to rest and to exchange each other. It should be a positive and energetic place.

Situated in the northeastern region of China, Dalian has experienced many wars in China’s modern history, such as the Lvshun Massacre with a death toll of more than 20,000, as well as various styles of anti-Japanese wars. All these have brought an extra sadness to the otherwise modern and peaceful tone of the site. Besides, there is a large gap between the human culture environment within the site and that of the urban area, especially in terms of human activity.

Team work TianJin province, China 2022 Feb. - MAY.(Fourth Year In Univeristy)

Robot construction using digital information can improve the manufacturing accuracy of complex components, as well as work efficiency and shorten construction time. The robot arm system includes a robot arm and an end effector, as well as control systems, operating equipment, connecting cables, and peripheral devices such as protective devices, transport devices, and sensors. The robot arm system has the ability to imitate human arms and has unique and flexible operational capabilities. By coordinating the six axes of the robot arm itself, the origin of the tool coordinate can accurately reach a certain point in space, and then the signal will be output to the tool head through the robot arm's signal output, commanding the robotic hand to perform the action. After the robotic hand has completed the action, it will input feedback signals to the robot arm. After receiving the signal, the robot arm can proceed to the next action.

THOSE CHANLLEGES WE MEET

[ ONE ] REPEATED PATH

[ TWO ]JITTER CURVE

[ THREE ]OFFSET STARTING POINT

Since the points generated by modeling do not conform to the actual printing order, there are many repeated paths.

The speed of discharging materials is much greater than the speed of movement of the robotic arm.

If you start printing the finished product directly, it will be difficult to maintain the appropriate temperature at the glue outlet. So a track will be reserved

DOUBLE LAYER 3D PRINTING [ Medium ]

SINGLE LAYER 3D PRINTING [ Easy ]

First use hot wire to cut out the foam block and then 3D print on the block. Space feasibility needs to be considere.

Print on a regular plane, but horizontal path closure needs to be considered. The main difficulty lies in path optimization.

It is a relatively simple printing model, and the main difficulty lies in debugging parameters. It directly determines the quality of the finished product.

The high temperature of the gun tip will melt the foam base, so you need to put a plaster cloth on it for heat insulation.

The double-layer structure requires each layer to form a closed loop, so the movement path is obtained taking into account the structural support and nonrepetition of trajectories.

The moving speed of the hot wire cutting machine is too fast or too slow, which will directly affect the surface smoothness of the underlying foam base plate.

ODD NUMBERED LAYERS clockwise

EVEN NUMBERED LAYERS Counterclockwise

[ SEVEN ]OPTIMIZE PATH The order of path activities in odd-numbered layers and even-numbered layers is completely opposite, and the tree structure relationship of the paths needs to be adjusted. Finally, the model is optimized to obtain the relationship characteristics of oddnumbered layers and even-numbered layers respectively. Draw a closed path
