1.1 Logo

1.2 Logo Size

The logo is made up with 2 items which are the word mark and icon.

The Extra Channel logo has been designed to reproduce at a minimum height of 10 mm on the printing items.

The icon is made up of two elements which are the arrow and the orange box. The arrow should be on transparent colour that cut-off the box shape to create “E� shape with the arrow inside.

On the web the minimum size of the logo is 30 pixels deep and there is no maximum reproduction size of the logo.

The shape of arrow represent the dynamic brand that shows the values of the brand (moving forward to a better life). In any use of the logo, the arrow should be in transparent, so it shows whatever colors or images on the background.

1.3 Logo Position In print, the Extra logo should always appear in the top left-hand position of the page with top and left margin in between the page.

1.4 Isolation Area Extra channel identity should always be surrounded by a minimum area of space. The area of isolation make sure that the logo will not clash with other elements, or any other text.

1.5 Misuse Of The Logo The logo should not be misinterpreted, modified or addded to keep the logo consistent in the usage. The logo must never be redrawn, adjusted or modified in any way. It should only be reproduced from the artwork provided.

1.6 Colour Extra channel uses the three basic and solid colour palettes to create the logo. For the on-air background, the colours that has beenused is gradient of the orange colours to bring out the positive, fresh and vibrant energy.

1.7 Alternative Logo When use the logo, you can choose between using the only icon of the logo without the wordmark, or use both of them in the same time. Do not increase the wordmark with the same height of the logo.

1.8 Typography and Size The typeface that has been used for the Extra channel is Univers typeface. Univers is supplied in the Open Type format and it supported by pc and mac. Univers is clean, decisive, modern font and has been supplied with the different width. Type should never appear below 5pt.There is no maximum limit to type size.

1.9 Univers Font Black Univers Black has been used for the Headline in Extra channel print. It is recommended for use with large titles and it should be used extensively when designing posters. Univers Black as a Headline looks most effectives when it used at 15pt and above. In print it is the only type face that should be placed in a box. Type in boxes should always be upper and lower case. Univers Black Headline is most suitable for all text used in poster and large titles.

1.10 Univers Font Bold and Oblique Univers Bold has additional weight and can be used for emphasis in small titles, headings and sub-headings. Univers Oblique should be used within text to give emphasis to a word or pharase.

1.11 Univers Font Roman Univers Roman is most suitable for body copy at sizes 15pt upwards.

1.12 Univers Font Regular Univers Regular is a light, clean practical font and is ideal for body copy in the brochures leaflets, letters and memos. It looks most effective when set in 7, 9, 10, 11 andd 12pt type.

1.13 Writing Copy The url should always be using small font size on the page. However, it should maintain the URL’s visibility as well. The position of the url will be on the bottom of any prints or screen where it’s flexible to move it to the right or left side of the page. Another one is the poster scheduling examples where two of the font style will be used. One is the Univers bold and the other one is the Univers Roman. Both of them should be in the same big font size.

1.17 Grids in Advertisement Grids in advertisements should always be set with the margins. The margins must be set on 5 cm to any advertisement between A2 and A0. Also the logo of the Extra should be placed on the right bottom of the advert and other details should put on the left hand side.

2.1 Logo Position and Size For the printing items, the logo should be put in the bottom-right side with tenth of the margins from the advert. The size of logo is determined by the size of the advertisements.

The position of the typography is based on the needed. It can be put at the top of the advert or even on the bottom. But do not put the typeface in a position that clash with the logo design.

2.3 Headline Type Position To provide more flexibility, the headline size can vary depending on the size of advertisement and the imagery used. The headline should be larger than the rest of copy on the page and always in capital letter.

2.4 Imagery Because the channel is about inspirational and motivational tv channel, imagery should always produce engaging, original, and inspirational image that represent the brand. Images and headlines should relate to warm, vibrant and positivity that can inspire people.

2.5 Black and White Reproduction On the black or dark background, the logo can be reversed white out of solid black or a contrast background. When it is placed over a black and white image, extra care must be taken to ensure that is legible.

3.1 Background The colour for the background is radial gradient orange colours. It represents the inspiration colours in a vibrant way.

3.2 On Screen Logo When place the logo on the screen, make sure it be placed at the top-left hand on the screen with the margin in between the screen. Logo should be positioned using the examples and grids provided. The title of the film must be put beside the logo with the same position as it shows.

3.3 Logo Variations On-Air These are the logo variations from Extra channel. Using the original logo and adding some extra feature depends on the type of channel that shows. The same rules apply to these as with the original logo.

3.5 Strap and Now Showing The title of now showing film will be placed beside the Extra logo. The font size of the now showing will be write in Univers Italic with the smaller font size than the title. Then, Univers Bold will be used to write the title. NOW SHOWING

When used as a breakdown strap type should be used at slightly smaller size and will be put on the bottom-left side of the screen. It will be using Univers Regular to write the information with the same font size of the “now showing.�

3.6 Font and Size on Screen All the font and size will not be bigger than the arrow, the text should always be placed inside the arrow shape. The coming up next and the title of the film are using the Univers Black font. The size of the font must be bigger than the title. Then, Univers Roman has been used for the date and time of the film. The size of the date and time is smaller than other information on the screen.

3.11 Idents Idents on air screening typically means of a call sign or brand name or well known as stinger. The idents of this brand should always be a rotation of the arrow to form the logo brand. It must always be about revealing and dynamic movement that describes the brand value of the identity.

At the first, you don’t see the arrow but you can hear the swoosh sound that shows of the arrow’s movement. Then after the arrow is passing the white box, now you can see E shape. The arrow will be going around the white box to create the final logo.
