Candela Sancho Soria, Spain (1982) Degree in Physics, Master in Geophysics and Renewable Energies After 18 years between Madrid, Barcelona, Toronto and Amsterdam, Candela returned to Soria to create, from the low-populated Spain (España vacía), a technology-based startup with global projection: Detektia. The aim of Detektia is to apply DInSAR technique to problems of the civil engineering sector, Detektia aims to revolutionize the control and maintenance of large engineering works, helping to create safer, more efficient and durable infrastructures. Despite having only a year of life, Detektia has managed to gain an important place in the market and accumulates several awards and prizes. Candela has a long experience working in applied research on the analysis of subsidence on the earth's surface, both on a large scale, analysing the deformations of the Eurasian tectonic plate, and on a local level analysing point subsidence, such as those produced by civil engineering works.
