Dear Aquinas College Hockey Fans, It is my privilege to welcome you to our newest AQ sport venture - the men's ice hockey program - as they begin their inaugural season at the College. We appreciate your support of this historic and ‘first ever’ Aquinas Hockey Team. Aquinas College has made an unwavering commitment to operate this hockey program in a first class manner and now ask you to be part of that effort. We are proud of our outstanding coaching staff for their efforts both on the ice and behind the scenes. We also applaud the student-athletes who represent Aquinas College in this exciting sport. They are all being held to the same standards of our other 23 sports teams. We expect them to represent Aquinas College, the hockey program - and most importantly their families in a manner that reflects favorably on all. Your support is also vital to the success and growth of hockey at Aquinas College. The motto for our fans is "Be Loud, Be Proud, and Be Respectful ". We would urge you to keep this in mind as you cheer on our Hockey Saints. The 2012 - 2013 schedule is most challenging for a young program, but we feel that our team is ready for this challenge against many schools who have established “hockey traditions”. Have a great evening at Griff's Icehouse and remember, “It’s great to be a Saint!”

Located on the eastern edge of Grand Rapids, Aquinas’ location allows students to reap the benefits of living in Michigan’s second largest city. With over one million people in the greater metropolitan area, Grand Rapids plays host to numerous festivals, concerts and cultural events each year. Aquinas’ campus creates a peaceful environment that is just moments away from the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. Residing on 109 wooded acres, the Aquinas College campus blends early twentieth-century architecture with modern-day structures. The campus is home to over 107 species of trees and shrubs, winding woodland paths and inviting creeks and ponds. Only 30 miles from beautiful Lake Michigan for a relaxing afternoon.
