Region 7 Championships
Big NumBers At WestWorld by Kara Larson
With three highly competitive arenas running simultaneously, the 2014 Region 7 Championships was, once again, an impressive Arabian horse show. Held at the accommodating WestWorld in Scottsdale, Ariz., Region 7 Director Chris Culbreth reflects on the success of this year’s show. “My favorite part of this year’s Region 7 Championships was the overall atmosphere of the event. The energy was high in all three arenas, and along with a busy Patrons’ lounge, cocktail parties, a huge shopping venue, informational seminars and excellent weather, Region 7 was the place to experience everything equestrian. The competition was absolutely incredible in all disciplines. Our halter division was particularly strong,
featuring some champion horses fresh from their victories at the World Cup show in Las Vegas.” Today, to keep growing and bringing new people in, a horse show has to be unique in the venue, show range in its classes, and be an exciting event for all. And for Culbreth and the rest of the Region 7 Show Committee, they focus on making all of these components a reality. “Our show is unique in that we offer competition for nearly every event Arabians compete in. We have a full slate of main ring performance and halter classes, as well as complete Sport Horse and Working Western divisions. Our show continues with the “Lesson’s Learned” policy, Volume 45, No. 1 |
