by SARAH JAYNE JOHNSON During U.S. Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the beautiful young stallion Life Inthe Fazt Lane, known as Fast Eddy at home, was rushed into surgery and unable to make his 2017 Nationals debut. Thankfully, he was able to recover and has another chance to show the industry what he has to offer.

Life in the Fazt Lane (Vegaz x of River Dance NA) stands at ChriShan Park and is owned by Dr. Nancy O’Reilly, the face of Amazing Horsewoman LLC. This beautiful 2012 bay stallion’s strong English bloodlines go well beyond Vegaz and include: Apollopalooza, AA Apollo Bey, MHR Nobility, A Major Fire, Zodiac Matador and Barbary. Where he comes from is not the only impressive aspect of this horse. The physical appearance and mechanics of Life Inthe Fazt Lane proves he is an upcoming stallion who will make an impact on the Arabian horse industry.

Similar to his sire, Vegaz, Life Inthe Fazt Lane has a tall and long neck, and a strong hind end, just what the breed needs. His trainer, Chris Wilson, could not emphasize enough the “upright and soft” neck of this young stallion who stands 15.1 hands tall.

Wilson wants to see more hind end action from show horses, and he believes Life Inthe Fazt Lane’s foals will be able to bring a snappy and strong hind end back into the show arena. Having already bred to mares on the farm, Wilson believes there is no shortage of action with Vegaz’s foals, and now, Life Inthe Fazt Lane’s are showing that as well.

Nonetheless, this beautiful bay stallion’s attitude and mindset has won over his owner, breeder (Sharon Keating), and trainer. After going through emergency surgery in October 2017, Life Inthe Fazt Lane proved his demeanor was just another bonus to his overall looks. He is a horse to look for as an upcoming stallion, as well as his foals.

The face behind Amazing Horse Woman LLC, is fitting into her name by growing and acquiring more breeding stallions and mares. O’Reilly owns another stallion to watch out for, Affliction (Mamage x PSI Love U). Speaking of her breeding program, O’Reilly expressed her future goals with her horses. “I am truly blessed to have two stallions with Vegaz and Mamage bloodlines. I also recently added CSP Gossip Girl, a Vegaz daughter who is out of a Matoi daughter, to the Amazing Horse Woman breeding program. This mare has amazing “get up and go” as an English/park show horse. We feel she and Affliction will produce amazing offspring.”

Knowing Life Inthe Fazt Lane has so much to offer, O’Reilly is dedicated to showing the world the beauty of the Arabian breed. T

here is something so special about an Arabian black stallion, and Affliction (Mamage x PSI Love U) had that special spark. Born at Lowe Show Horse Centre, Nancy O’Reilly, the face of Amazing Horse Woman LLC, was instantly in awe when she first set eyes upon the 2013 stallion, purchasing him in 2016.

O’Reilly was drawn to Affliction for his beauty and the way he moves, as if he is floating on air.

The stunning stallion made his way into O’Reilly’s heart for his personality, one of the reasons he is so special to her, and one of her favorite qualities about him. “Just being with him is like being with a kid who does not have a clue how special he is,” she shares. “He is what he is. Adorable.”

When it comes to breeding Affliction, Lowe names the four best aspects about this black stallion, which include his hind end, trainability, elegance and natural stretch in body and stride.

Affliction is similar to his father, the well-known stallion Mamage, and his dam’s sire, Allience, when it comes to his motion, ease of trainability and his hind end. If there was anything the English performance horses are lacking these days, Lowe believes that to

Dr. Nancy O’Reilly, owner of Amazing Horse Woman, LLC, has been involved with Arabian horses now for about five years and became hooked like most others to this beautiful breed. She currently owns horses at her old home in Missouri and her new home in California.

In 2017, O’Reilly purchased CSP Gossip Girl (Vegaz x LA Pistola), also known as GG, at ChriShan Park in Missouri. Bred by Alicia and Eileen Scott, O’Reilly describes her favorite qualities about this beautiful 9-year-old Arabian English pleasure mare and new addition to her program, “Gossip Girl is like a wind-up toy; she’s a beautiful Vegaz daughter with his long neck and elegance; and boy, can she move! You bet she does. She is a sweet, petite, little beauty that literally moves with harmony and ease. She’s fun to watch.”

Acquired for her growing breeding program, CSP Gossip Girl joins O’Reilly’s two stallions: Aff liction (Mamage x PSI Love U) with Jim Lowe at Lowe Show Horse Centre, and Life Inthe Fazt Lane (Vegaz x River Dance NA) with Chris Wilson at ChriShan Park.

CSP Gossip Girl’s bloodline makes her essential, bringing in Vegaz and Matoi.

Wilson trained both Vegaz and Matoi, winning national championships on these famous sires. “She may be the most like Matoi out of his babies I have ridden; she has the same squat in her hind end as he did, as well as the same go forward hard round motion in the front end. I can feel both Vegaz and Matoi when I ride her, and that is what makes her so special as a mare. She carries the traits of these great sires and that is why we want to breed her forward.”

When it comes to O’Reilly’s plans with CSP Gossip Girl, she says, “Aff liction and CSP Gossip Girl will make a perfect match. Mamage and Vegaz together—wow! Can there be a better duo?”

Wilson agrees the cross of Aff liction and CSP Gossip Girl would be a perfect match, with Aff liction bringing to the table a big, bold body and long neck he acquired from the likes of Mamage, Zodiac Matador and Allience. Mix that with the motion of CSP Gossip Girl, and their bloodlines complement one another perfectly for creating amazing foals.

O’Reilly further explains this potential cross, “Bigger foals with great speed and agility and long beautiful necks. They are both beautiful and the English/park match would produce amazing trots. Not to mention the long, long lines of great breeding.”

Able to make up for her size in grace and movement, O’Reilly refers to Gossip Girl as “small but mighty.” Wilson sees her as, “the little engine that could.” Having just won the champion title in English pleasure and reserve in park at Region 11, she has the quality and talent to win. There are plans to break her to drive in the coming years and show her more serious in park, but for now, their main focus is in breeding her.

It is clear, that O’Reilly is creating a great breeding program with some special performance horses, and CSP Gossip Girl is the perfect addition to help her program grow. n
