AEPA Futurities
THE ARABIAN ENGLISH PERFORMANCE ASSOCIATION with Peter Conway, President 2020 marks the 13th year of running the $100,000 and $50,000 AEPA Futurities. At the 2019 U.S. Nationals, we had a great audience for the pattern classes and without question, the quality of horses was the deepest ever. We expect that this year will also rise to a new level. As President of the AEPA, I can confidently say, we work to be as transparent as possible and make sure that any questions that arise are reviewed and addressed immediately. Given that people questioned the “order of go” computer generated results from last year, we have decided to hold a public drawing this year. We will schedule a time for the drawing and also to hear any input from owners, trainers, and stallion owners on how to continue improving the program. I am very proud of the AEPA and the impact it is having on our English division. Anyone paying attention can see the trend towards ever more gifted horses. A huge THANK YOU to all the stallion owners that enroll their stallions and make this whole thing work. Please buy a breeding in the upcoming AEPA Stallion Services Auction January 17th-27th, and support these National classes and the Buckeye and Scottsdale Amateur classes. Simply breed to an enrolled sire and the foal is in the program; no extra paperwork or fees involved. Every dollar raised in the Auction goes strictly to prize money. On top of that, the foals that are the result of an auction breeding can win an extra 25% prize money in the $100,000 class at U.S. Nationals. Not a breeder? Buy horses that were sired by enrolled stallions and you are eligible for the classes. Finally, I would like to thank our sponsors. Arabian Horse Times and Equine Athlete Veterinary Services support our National classes and are instrumental in making this possible. Conway Arabians is honored to support the Maturities alongside Strawberry Banks Farm and thank you to Freedman’s Saddlery, for their corporate support. The AEPA was created to serve breeders and to promote the Arabian English Performance horse. Get involved, breed wonderful horses, enjoy the competition and have these horses in your life!
