In the fall of 2018, El Tino arrived at Royal Arabians, owned by Cindy McGown and Mark Davis of Scottsdale, AZ. Master horseman Rodolfo Guzzo, head of the halter division of Royal Arabians, has had the honor of showing many of El Tino’s best offspring. In the fall of 2017, he showed Royal Asad (El Tino x Lumiar Ethna, by RFI Maktub), to the title of Arabian National Breeder Finals Gold Junior Champion Colt. A few months later, Guzzo showed him to the title of Scottsdale Arabian Breeders International Gold Champion Junior Male. Guzzo also showed the El Tino son, Razeer Serondella, to the title of 2018 Brazilian National Gold Champion Junior Colt; and at the 2019 Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show, showed Rhadashah Arabco (El Tino x Yasmin HWM, by Legacy of Fame), to the title of Arabian Champion 2-YearOld Filly of Jan. 1-April 15 for Royal Arabians. Rhadashah Arabco was already named Brazilian National Champion, twice. El Tino is owned by Luciana Fasano’s Fazenda Floresta in Brazil and stands at Royal Arabians. When Luciana heard of the opportunity, she knew it was the right time to acquire El Tino. She acted decisively, just as she has done with all her stallions. xtraordinary stallions require extraordinary support, and El Tino, owned by Black Stallion, LLC, is one of those. Proven in the show ring (Brazilian National Champion) and in the barn (his progeny have won national and international championship titles in Brazil and around the world), El Tino is a very special individual who passes on his exquisite refinement, classic type, captivating charisma, and bold movement with remarkable consistency.
The acquisition of El Tino was a dream come true. And along with that dream, came a deep commitment to helping him reach his destiny as a sire of historic importance, and to share his extraordinary qualities with the world. To fulfill his destiny, an unparalleled team of international professionals was created. Each member of this dedicated team, spread throughout North America, South America, Europe, and the Middle East, bring their expertise and professionalism as leading breeders, top trainers, and marketing experts, to bring their plans for El Tino to fruition.

El Tino stands at Royal Arabians, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Owned by Cindy McGown and Mark Davis, they are dedicated breeders who deeply believe in El Tino and have given him 100% of their support, including having mares in foal to El Tino, and owning his fabulous son, Royal Asad, who is also a champion and sire of champions. El Tino’s team at Royal Arabians includes internationally respected horsemen Rodolfo Guzzo, Travis Rice and Johnny Downing. “El Tino’s foals are absolutely stunning,” states Rodolfo. “There is an incredible demand for his services worldwide and it’s quickly increasing. Recently, several top El Tino progeny were purchased by breeders in the United States and Saudi Arabia where they will be wonderful representatives of their sire and no doubt, will become valuable assets to their new owners’ show and breeding programs. It’s hard to believe, but El Tino is already a grandsire. His sons and daughters are now producing the next generation of national champions. His influence is growing incredibly fast.”
Cesar Schmidt is El Tino’s South American representative. Many breeders there have used El Tino with great success for years, and with the overwhelming achievements of his breathtaking offspring at the 2019 Brazilian National Championships, the demand for him will only increase. Seven El Tino sons and daughters earned some of the most prestigious titles at this year’s Brazilian National Championships. Three of his sons and two of his daughters were named Brazilian National Gold Champion, and one son and one daughter earned Silver. With results like these, it was no surprise El Tino was named Brazilian National Leading Sire of Champions, as well Leading Sire of Champions at the Brazilian Breeders Cup, both for three years, making him one of the most important sires to come out of Brazil in recent years.

Breeder: PCF Arabians, USA Owner Luciano Cury, Brazil The world of Arabian horses is one of great passion. Breeders strive to create special foals able to make a lasting impact. However, when a stallion comes from such a historically influential sire line as El Tino does, the standard is so high, it seems almost impossible to equal or exceed his predecessor’s achievements. These are only a few of the iconic sires and dams that live on through El Tino and his descendants, the likes of DA Valentino, Versace, Fame VF and Bey Shah. This litany of champions and champion producers is only a hint at the depth and value of his precious bloodlines. Among all the names in El Tino’s pedigree are even more legends of the breed. Now, with the support of his appointed advocates and the divine hand that guides us all, the great El Tino is taking his rightful place with his ancestors, because he too, is already a legend.

I love this kiss is so special, especially when there is a mare right next to him. Elishahh and Luciana.
By BETH ELLEN HUNZIKER
Brazilian business woman, Luciana Fasano, has achieved unprecedented success in every venue she has chosen, including fashion and fabric design, interior design, building a luxury retail brand for her delicious chocolates, cakes and gelatos called LF By Lufasano, and establishing a world-class equine paradise exclusively for her national and international champion Arabian horses. Equally impressive, she accomplished all these remarkable achievements in record time. In just a few short years, Luciana has achieved far beyond that which many people work their entire life. With every new endeavor she creates, she uses her personal formula for success that she began to develop as a young girl and which has evolved over her lifetime. When Luciana is inspired by a thought or a vision, she researches diligently and quickly learns everything she can about the subject. As she studies, she forms a goal and a plan to achieve it. Then, when the time is right, she puts her plan into action with her formidable energy and determination of purpose. Her passion and heart inspire her actions, while her intuition, keen intellect, and laser-like focus guide her to fulfill every goal. Among the most notable aspects of each of her goals are: the creation of extraordinary beauty and the means to enhance other people’s lives. One of Luciana’s most successful ventures is her equine program for Arabian horses, which has brought international attention to Brazil from all corners of the world in recognition of her stellar achievements. Her program is small in comparison to the large herds at national stud farms in such countries as Poland, Russia, Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and other countries with government supported programs. Instead, she collected a very small and very elite group of stallions, which she guided to some of the highest awards of success in show rings around the world. With each success, Luciana expanded her brand, which is recognized around the globe for its accomplished levels of quality, ingenuity, and unwavering excellence. In 2010, Luciana saw a very young colt—it was love at first sight. She was drawn to his extraordinary beauty and at once, believed that if properly guided, he had the potential to achieve true greatness. She took up the challenge and purchased the colt. His name is AAS-Elishahh. One week later, he was named United States National Supreme Champion Yearling Colt. AAS-Elishahh is the son of a National Champion and in the first four generations of his pedigree, almost every ancestor is an International, National or Reserve National Champion, or a National Champion producer. Luciana took a calculated risk and her reward was tremendous. AAS-Elishahh went on to earn the titles of 2011 U.S. National Champion Arabian Two-Year-Old Colt, Arabian Breeders World Cup Supreme Gold Champion Junior Colt, Breeders World Cup Champion Two-Year-Old Colt and Gold Champion in Holland. Within five years, a group of prized Arabian stallions was collected that rivaled those of royalty. This was something that went against the normal precepts of most established breeders. Yet, by following her heart and intuition, Luciana achieved unprecedented success, earning more than 17 International, National, and other highly prestigious titles. Each stallion became a champion in her hands. In achieving this tremendous success, she brought respect, recognition, golden trophies, and red champion roses home to Brazil. Royal Chocolates Throughout her global travels with her coveted Arabian stallions, Luciana has become one of Brazil’s greatest ambassadors. Royal families from the Middle East and Europe, presidents, governors, and highly successful business people around the world recognize her signature qualities: her unwavering commitment to excellence in every aspect of her life, her warm and gracious smile, her elegance and graceful demeanor, her kindness, and her genuine concern for the well-being of people everywhere. These qualities have become the Fazenda Floresta brand and they are the foundation for each of Luciana’s creations. Everywhere she goes, she is recognized for her elegance in fashion and décor. The hallmark of her home is her gracious hospitality and her personal touch, which elevates every aspect with intense beauty and incorporates minute details designed to delight the senses. The Fazenda Floresta brand and signature style was used when creating LF By Lufasano. The first concept store that offered customers amazing cakes, rich chocolates, and refreshing gelatos was an instant success and now there is tremendous interest from people wanting to have a partnership. All products are created following historic Italian traditions, yet utilizing modern approaches such as holistic wellness and environmentally conscious practices. Luciana shares her inspiration, “I am reaching back to my sweetest childhood memories. Growing up, it was always my family’s custom to have fresh, warm cakes everyday, along with incredible chocolates and delicious gelatos. Everyone knows the best gelatos come from Italy. Sharing this simple pleasure brought our family together.” Ar abian Horse Times | 5 | Br azil ~ 2018
A very special moment riding Eccentric Valentino, thought I was not so young anymore for this.
When Luciana feels something deeply in her heart, she commits to it 100 percent. When LF By Lufasano was established, a unique synergy and the opportunity to touch the lives of many people began. In essence, the business model follows the ancient wisdom, “Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach them to fish and you give them an occupation that will feed them for a lifetime.” By teaching others, jobs were created for people who otherwise would have little if any means to earn a living. Luciana’s passion is contagious. Now her employees enjoy making beautiful and delightful confections while providing for their families. They share her commitment to quality, and concern for personal health and the environment, by utilizing green practices; all products, which are gluten and lactose free, use pure and organic ingredients. In addition, indigenous fruits and ingredients that might otherwise be overlooked are used. As always, she does not copy the trends, she sets the standards for herself and others to follow. Luciana represents the very best of Brazil: passion, energy, innovation, and heart. Only time will tell what her next achievements will be. However, there is no doubt it will be stamped with her personal brand of excellence. As with each of her endeavors, Fazenda Floresta is a fusion of passions—for Arabian horses, for beauty, for nature, for giving, and for helping others. THE FUTURE... Stores around Brazil, then stores around the world, all with the mission to teach people to use, enjoy, and transform what is being wasted into something truly wonderful. Luciana’s head sire is AAS-Elishahh (Eden C x Sempre), Arabian Breeders World Cup Gold Supreme Champion and two-time United States National Champion. Elishahh is passing on his height, body, and extremely shapely neck to his progeny, along with soulful eyes, beautiful heads and attitude. A wonderful example is his daughter, TM Eline, from the program of Claudia Teixeira, one of Brazil’s top breeders. Elishahh has already sired numerous national winners, including the 2015 Brazilian Gold Champion Junior Filly, FHJ Vania, and the stunning Only Serondella, who was named both 2016 Brazilian National Champion Filly and Supreme Bronze Champion Female. Only Serondella is a fifth-generation representative of the Haras Serondella breeding program of Fabio Amorosino, the President of the Brazilian Arabian Horse Breeders Association.

“I had the pleasure of judging AAS-Elishahh in Las Vegas, where he was Champion Colt,” Fabio extols. “I was convinced that he should be heavily used in our breeding program, and we did it! In the very first foal crop, Only Serondella (x Jelabie Serondella) came out as a gift! A very feminine and correct filly, with nice proportions and a lot of charisma! She is now, at four years of age, our top producer ever, with two exceptional fillies already on the floor that will be strong contenders at the Brazilian Breeders Cup and Brazilian Nationals this year. Our other Elishahh get, Queniah Serondella and Queridah Serondella, will also compete at Nationals, and reflect the best traits of their father. I believe that a breeder should question himself/herself if each decision was worthwhile, and I am sure that using Elishahh was one of my best, ever!”

Luciana Fasano:
My Horse s For Cho col at e By JEFF WALLACE with THERESA CARDAMONE
Comfort and happiness can lie in a piece of chocolate or in a magnificent Arabian horse; Brazilian entrepreneur Luciana Fasano of Fazenda Floresta maintains a love affair with both. Divine chocolate was a part of her family tradition which she transformed into a thriving business. Luciana was fueled by love for her beautiful stallion AAS-Elishahh, a former United States National Champion Yearling Colt for Fazenda Floresta, and the catalyst for Luciana’s fusion of passions. It was in 2010 when AAS-Elishahh came into Luciana’s life and changed it forever. “AAS-Elishahh had this tremendous expression, his balance and equilibrium deeply impressed me,” Luciana remembers. Inspired by a sculpture of Elishahh, Luciana created a logo—a stylish, elegant Arabian horse—for Fazenda Floresta farm, which also became the symbol for her chocolates. Being a perfectionist, Luciana decided to produce her own chocolate while taking advantage of the many exotic ingredients available in Brazil and the tropics, including the purest cacao and organic fruits harvested from trees planted on Fazenda Floresta in 1843. A short time later, Luciana united her passions. Her passion for exclusive chocolate and royal Arabian horses became one; encompassing tradition, quality, and luxury, created with love.
Ar abian Horse Times | 14 | Volume 47, No. 5A A
After a profound test phase of three years, it was time to start the business. “Our team has worked very hard to ensure that Fazenda Floresta Chocolates reflect our best talents,” says Luciana. And so they have. Throughout the creative process, Luciana maintains a keen awareness for details important to diverse cultures, just as she does every detail of the process used to produce the products. The result has been a warm reception for Fazenda Floresta on the world stage. Her chocolates have now been delivered to some of the most important people on earth, including world leaders, royalty, ambassadors, and famous celebrities. With the opening of her first concept store in Sao Paulo, Luciana’s special love for design, color, and packaging is evident in the inviting displays. Fazenda Floresta Chocolate House reflects the quiet, picturesque beauty of the 150-year old farm that bears its name. The café’s interior looks like the inside of a typical farmhouse. The predominating colors are blue, red, and white; the décor is as splendid as the delicacies. Red chairs placed next to blue tables invite visitors to sit down for a cup of coffee and a classic truffle, or a delicious piece of apple pie garnished with Pecan nuts. This is not simply a chocolatier, it also offers an exclusive selection of exotic, aromatic coffees, homemade cakes and pastries, and refreshing Florentine gelato that Luciana deems to be the best she has ever tasted. Luciana wants her customers to enter a special world when they visit Fazenda Floresta Chocolate House, and to imagine themselves creating such a world for themselves. By opening the concept store, the public has been made aware of the possibilities that exist to expand the brand through franchising. Fazenda Floresta Concept Stores are ready to be established by astute investors in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. The franchises will ensure customers greater availability while maintaining uniformly high quality. For instance, the powder base of the gelato used by franchises throughout the world will be the same product originally found in Florence. Whether in Sao Paolo or points around the globe, the gelato will be as consistently excellent as the other Fazenda Floresta offerings.

Luciana also believes in diversifying the gene pool of her breeding program. “It was my dream to own six excellent Arabian stallions,” she relays. In addition to AAS-Elishahh, a son of World Champion Eden C and the Versace daughter Sempre, she acquired the exquisite, white, Egyptian-bred Al Hadiyah AA, the 2008 Austrian National Junior Champion Colt and Asil Cup Junior Champion Colt. Sired by Laheeb, one of the most celebrated international stallions, and out of the magnificent black mare The Vision HG, Al Hadiyah AA offers a superior pedigree, bred with wisdom by Ariela Arabians in Israel. Four other luscious bay chocolates joined the stallion roster to complete Luciana’s goal. Eccentric Valentino, by DA Valentino, resembles the strong sire line of Bey Shah through Fame VF and Versace. The others are all from the Marwan Al Shaqab sire line; the bold moving LLC Fasario, by Aria Impresario, dark bay OFW Wan And Only, and Vortex, by FA Al Shawan. Elegant Arabian stallions, whether residing in the barn or depicted on the chocolates, continues to be the mark of Luciana Fasano. As the proud horses look out over the blue doors of their boxes or enjoy the freedom of their pastures in the afternoon sun at Fazenda Floresta, it is easy to find comfort and happiness just by watching themperhaps while enjoying some homemade Floresta chocolates, ever so secretly as you do! ■

FAZENDA FLOR ESTA | 17
Fazenda Floresta presents its Stallions and new Generation of Foals
Luciana Fasano, of Fazenda Floresta, near São Paulo, Brazil, has never been afraid to be innovative, and her Arabian operation is a standout example of how a fresh viewpoint can be valuable in the Arabian community. Although she understands the contributions of broodmares, Luciana’s consuming interest and special talent has been in selecting stallions, and her contribution to the breed is the “stallion station” she has founded. It is a collection of exceptional individuals on offer to discerning breeders, and in its few years of existence, it has taken off at electrifying speed. “The first thing I did was buy stallions that were proven in the show ring and had great pedigrees,” Luciana explains. Her sires earned their championships, supreme championships and reserve championships in North America, Europe and Brazil at such leading venues as the U.S. and Canadian Nationals, Scottsdale, the AHBA World Cup and The Egyptian Event. Her second step was to establish alliances with top breeders to ensure that the stallions had access to many of Brazil’s finest broodmares. From the foals these breedings produced, she was able evaluate her stallions’ potential. She made it a point to include a wide array of bloodlines on her roster, and she wanted to be sure that they all had the ability to pass on their own attributes. The goal has been not to design her own breeding program so much as to be an integral resource for the top establishments of the world. The result of her effort over the past three-and-a-half years has been the enthusiastic support of some of the country’s most significant breeders. “For example, AAS-Elishahh has sold 185 breedings in the last month and a half, and LLC Fasario just about 60 breedings over a period of 30 days,” Luciana reports. “And Al Hadiyah AA has sold about 40 in 30 to 40 days. For OFW Wan And Only, we have sold about 30 breedings to a new breeder who happened to see his picture on the internet.” While Eccentric Valentino has bred fewer mares, she strongly believes in his potential, especially with straight Egyptian mares. Already, the stallion has sired two of her best foals, one of whom, LF Eccentrica, is from the straight Egyptian mare, Sherazade JP. The 4-year-old stallion LLC Fasario, meanwhile, will be representing the farm in the show ring as well as standing at stud. “Fasario passes on an extreme attitude that probably comes from his Marwan Al Shaqab blood,” says Luciana, “as well as extreme advantages from his dam, RD Fabreanna. I believe a lot in him. He will be going to the U.S. Nationals this year.” And Vortex has not been widely available because he was being used especially by Dr. Nelson Moreira, whose mares in foal from Haras Céu Estrelado include Dulcinea BHF, Catherine UB, Celine K, RD Fabreanna, Lá Vida and Sovereign Almond JP. “Vortex is to me a stallion who is not just a good horse, but a great son of FA El Shawan,” says Luciana, “and that is very important to all of us in terms of the future. We will start seeing his foals in September 2014.” For a deeper appreciation of her program, she offers the words of two of Brazil’s most prominent breeders, Adriana and Alessandra Moura of Haras das Cascatas. Haras das Cascatas, home of the well-known Honey's Delight RB and Esperanca, has always been looking for different alternatives in the worldwide Arabian horse industry. “After extensive analysis, we found at Fazenda Floresta a group of stallions with a lot of quality and an unbeatable diversity of pedigrees,” they say. AAS-Elisahhh: “We found a very current stallion for new standards, with exceptional titles, and with great qualities such as a very delicate head, a very correct body, a lot of attitude and a great pedigree.” Al Hadiyah AA: “We look for what every breeder is looking for—an impeccable head, beautiful big eyes, and a feeling of ‘a horse from the desert.’ We chose him for two of our best mares.” Eccentric Valentino: “We believe Eccentric can become one of the most important successors of DA Valentino. He has a very important show record and an unimpeachable neck.” LLC Fasario: “Fasario has a very special and current pedigree, lots of attitude and a very special neck. He is the type of horse we admire and always look for to complement our breeding program.” Luciana, while recognizing the excellence of what her stallions have to offer, is grateful for her clients' faith at this early stage of her plan. “Those are people who really used my stallions without knowing what is coming, because my horses were new blood in Brazil.” Not only are well-known breeders a part of the Fazenda Floresta program, but new owners are signing on as well, attracted by Luciana’s stallions and her success. With those promising endorsements, Fazenda Floresta is moving on into the future. An embryo transfer service is being organized, pastures are being prepared to host client mares, and an inseminating facility for import and export is being established. As always, friends and clients are attracted to Luciana’s near-legendary hospitality. An invitation to the farm is a guaranteed festive evening of indulgent food and camaraderie. But when it comes to Arabian horses, she emphasizes, Fazenda Floresta is all about high standards. “Our focus is on quality, not quantity.” We invite every American attending the Brazilian Nationals to come and visit Fazenda Floresta for our special party and open house on November 23, 2014, at 3p.m., right after the Brazilian Nationals. Please RSVP to Arabian Horse Times.

I feel blessed every day when I think about how much pleasure the Arabian horse has brought into my life ... our life! The stallions, each one of them, gives me a different feeling of joy and happiness—they all have a special place in my heart! They know me and this makes a difference to me. They all give me much more than I could expect, and for that, I am truly grateful! With them, I have met extraordinary people from all over the world.
I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of this successful journey ... azenda Floresta can be summed up with a simple word: hospitality. At the beautiful Fazenda Floresta, Luciana Fasano prides herself on her determination to offer the most comfortable stay possible for her guests. The name Fazenda Floresta translates into english as “forest farm,” for the many pine tree forests that surround its tropical beauty. Located in itu, a country retreat outside the city of são Paulo, the historic 150-year-old estate proves that the art of fine dining and entertaining is alive and well. For this year’s brazilian nationals, held in the city of
indaiatuba, Luciana invited 12 guests from around the world to stay at Fazenda Floresta and enjoy its beautiful ambiance—and for many of them, the trip became an incredible memory. Luciana’s attention to the smallest detail was apparent from the beginning. As the guests arrived, they were greeted with colorful flower bouquets in their individually-decorated rooms. note cards were on each room’s bedside table. The bed linens were handmade, and would be turned down each evening, with custom chocolates left on each pillow.

nationals at FazenDa was a Fun week! The first day finished off with the evening meal—a culinary delight and an extravaganza of vibrant color. Fazenda Floresta employs an attentive staff and wonderful chefs from the local area. each course was elegantly presented with hand-crafted napkin rings and porcelain plates designed by Luciana and hand-produced by local artisans. Delightful fresh salads, flavorful entrees and the most decadent of desserts were offered. This was just a taste of what would come at each meal, including daily afternoon teas when the entire farm stopped to enjoy coffee, tea and sweet banana or tangerine cakes. evening meals consisted of homemade delights and traditional brazilian fare such as the delicious meats of a churrascaria. There were always desserts such as a creamy coconut flan or a passion fruit and raspberry mousse, so flavorful that they were irresistible. All of these meals were based on the local economy: Luciana believes in purchasing food from neighboring farmers and artwork and crafts from the local artists. She is also reestablishing coffee fields to support the industry that her farm pioneered years ago, and offering these jobs to the local population.
We had the pleasure of having Joaquin de SantibaĂąes for dinner.

When the horse show began, a van transported guests to the brazilian Nationals (some attended every class, while others enjoyed the poolside sun). Special lunch and dinner “Get-Together Parties” at the farm highlighted each day of the show, and more invited guests arrived for farm tours, lively conversation and delicious meals. Arabian horse breeders from around the world were encouraged to enjoy the retreat and discuss their ideas and breeding programs with Luciana. One of their evening guests was Joaquin de Santibañes, son of Fernando de Santibañes, owner of magnum Psyche. On that night especially, stories flowed deep into the evening. Soon, the day arrived when Fazenda Floresta’s young stallion Vortex, shown by trainer rodolfo Guzzo, was to compete at the show. To prepare everyone to cheer loudly, Luciana offered a special luncheon at the farm. She created little Arabian horse pound cakes in Vortex’s honor, and she undertook their “final grooming,” adding big eyes before she “showed” them to the appreciative guests. before anyone could take a bite, Luciana asked her guest, 2011 U.S. Nationals judge Dick Adams, to “judge” the entries—and it was the first time he ever tied a class all champions!

For the nationals class, the group donned matching yellow Vortex polo shirts and left to cheer on Fazenda Floresta’s stallion. soon after Luciana arrived at the show, she was invited by the brazilian magazine Veja to a photo shoot at the stables, as she was being featured as one of the special Arabian breeders of brazil. Veja magazine, similar to Time magazine in the United states, had just featured Fazenda Floresta and were continuing the story with the journey of Vortex in the show ring. As everyone waited anxiously for Vortex’s class, Fazenda Floresta’s sponsored youth soccer team arrived to cheer for the young stallion. To be eligible for the team, which is charged with encouraging sportsmanship and personal improvement, local boys must maintain a minimum “b” average in school and attend weekly practices at the farm’s soccer field. Finally, it was time for Vortex, an elegant colt by el shawan and out of a Don el chall daughter, to show. The crowd cheered loudly and the Fazenda Floresta soccer team led the chant with “Vortex! Vortex!” And after a beautiful standup, Vortex was awarded the title of brazilian national reserve champion colt.

preparing For tHe Big party
Fazenda Floresta thanks all the employees for everything they have done to create this beautiful party.
As the brazilian Nationals drew to a close, it was time for the final party at Fazenda Floresta. As a tribute to the American Thanksgiving holiday, Luciana planned a traditional turkey dinner with a brazilian gourmet twist, and invited were all of the Fazenda Floresta guests and many others who had attended the brazilian Nationals. Arriving visitors were treated to a tour of the farm that included the beautiful stable being completed, featuring Luciana’s office and its huge GiclÊe photos of her beloved stallions. party Decorations On the tables, flowers and linens were in national colors—red, white and blue for American-themed tables and yellow and green for Brazilian. Tying everything together were the sterling silver Fazenda Floresta Arabian horse logo napkin holders designed by Luciana and sculpted by noted brazilian artist Auri borsatto. many people from the Arabian horse community, as well as Herculando Passos, mayor of Itu, and his wife, rita, attended Fazenda Floresta’s celebration of the Arabian Horse brazilian Nationals party. Luciana said that it was her greatest joy to have the pleasure of entertaining so many guests. As a special surprise, after the main meal had been enjoyed, Luciana led the many guests into the dining room of the main house, where an amazing presentation of custom decorated sweets and desserts awaited. Little chocolates with horses on them, brazilian flag sweets and American flag cookies were popular choices, along with jars of sweet sauces which featured photos of Luciana’s stallions AAS-elishahh, eccentric Valentino and Al Hadiyah AA on the lids. Small boxes tied with elegant red ribbons and containing special Fazenda Floresta chocolates were valued mementos of the occasion. The next day, the guests of Fazenda Floresta gathered by the pool to enjoy the sunshine and contemplate the visit that was drawing to a close. As some enjoyed the water, others walked in the many gardens and a lucky few took a spirited horseback ride through the countryside on Luciana’s horses. Luciana’s hospitality made the brazilian Nationals especially sweet this year because of the many friendships it created. Fazenda Floresta is becoming well known worldwide as a respite from the outside world, where beautiful Arabian horses can be enjoyed with style and comfort. Next year’s party is already being planned! ■
