Scottsdale Success...and Las Vegas Ahead By THERESA CARDAMONE
Over the past several years, Cindy McGown and Mark Davis, along with daughter Amanda Fraser, have steered their Royal Arabians into becoming one of the industry’s leaders. Always a formidable presence at major horse shows, Royal Arabians and their clients posted a host of wins at the 2019 Scottsdale All-Arabian Horse Show. Among the many highlights was the show debut of Royal Asselah (Royal Asad x R Arabella), the first Asad baby to compete. She won her class and was the Scottsdale International Arabian Breeder Reserve Champion Yearling Filly with trainer Rodolfo Guzzo. Led by Amanda Fraser, Royal Asselah was also the Signature Stallion Auction Reserve Champion Yearling Filly AOTH. The Royal offspring of Halyr Meia Lua each earned at least a Top Five. In one of the largest classes of the show, Amanda showed Royal Theodosia (Halyr Meia Lua x Aria Marchestra) to a win in her section and brought home the Signature Stallion Reserve Champion Yearling Filly honors. Amanda’s husband, Daniel Pagan, won the Scottsdale Junior Filly AAOTH Championship with the Halyr daughter, Royal Fantazia (Halyr Meia Lua x RA Princess Jamaal). On the performance side, resident trainer Justin Cowden guided TN Khaliente (SF Veraz x TN Khemarie) to the Signature Stallion Hunter Pleasure Futurity Champion 3 & 4 Years title. Justin
