In this issue we cover the 2016 Salon du Cheval in Paris, France, and take a look back at the same show during the turn of the millennium. Sixteen years ago Michael Byatt wrote our coverage, the year both Ekstern (Monogramm x Ernestyna) and Zagrobla (Monogramm x Zguba) were World Champion Stallion and Mare, “This show takes me back to the dream when I began imagining about Arabian horses … I wasn’t really sure I could ever feel that way again, but seeing the horses, with all their personality and expression, being exhibited with such dignity, gave me my freedom to remember.”
