Tell us a bit about yourself. What do you do and how long have you been in Bahrain?
My name is Cherie Peredyryev and I’m a mom of one and a Cargo Supervisor. I’ve been in Bahrain for two and a half years. Before coming here, I used to work in Dubai’s retail industry for eight years.
How did you get into makeup?
Makeup has always been my passion since I was in high school. I remember back then, I can’t go to school without my eyeliner, mascara and lipstick on! I love makeup and it has been one of my dreams to work in a makeup store.
Did you get any formal training or are you a self taught artist?
I enrolled myself in a makeup class online. However, most of the modules only discuss the technicalities and techniques of makeup. I wanted to put theory into practice which is why I enrolled at the Bayanihan International Institute of Bahrain where
I learned the proper makeup application, process and steps. Now, I am expanding my skills using airbrush makeup.
Where do you get inspiration for your looks?
The makeup looks I create are very versatile and depend on the occasion, place or event. Sometimes, I also like matching the looks with the outfit colors.
What three makeup item should no woman leave home without?
Pressed powder, blush and lipstick.
What is the most important beauty advice that you can give to women?
Beauty is an attitude and to be beautiful means to be yourself. I do believe all women are beautiful with or without makeup but to some, using makeup can enhance their self-esteem and confidence.
Be the best possible version of yourself inside and out! n
