58TH CANADIAN NATIONALS HAS 5TH YEAR IN BRANDON The Canadian Arabian National Championships celebrated its 58th Anniversary at the Keystone Centre in Brandon, Manitoba. The show, which began in 1958, had its fifth year at the Canadian facility and there were smiles and genuine enthusiasm among exhibitors of Arabian horses throughout the show. Locally, the show received a warm, Manitoba welcome. Sessions from August 16th through the 22nd were enjoyed by the visiting horsemen and local Canadians alike. Michael Byatt led Polidoro FC to roses in the Canadian National Champion Halter Stallions and GC Le Marais to win the National Champion Mares. He also took winning rose garlands with Del Adora in Yearling Fillies and Hey Man Al Shahania in Yearling Colts. Andy Sellman presented the Champion Futurity Colt, Ensync FMA and the Two-Year-Old Jackpot Colt, Beloved One NA, while Jeff Schall showed the Champion Futurity Filly, Bey Monet TRJ and the Champion Halter Gelding, Validation DDA. Josh Quintas and Onyx A won roses in the Western Pleasure open. Joe Reser showed Alittle Beer Money to win the HA Western Jr Horse, Monaco Jullyen V to win the PB Western Pleasure Jr Horse, and Ima Rockin N Rollin to take roses in the HA Western Pleasure open. Wendy Shelton took Clint Black to Hunter Pleasure open roses, and Wendy Potts won the HA Hunter Pleasure with EC Cause To Celebrate and the HA Hunter Pleasure Jr Horse with Vertuoso. Jason Krohn won roses in the Country Jr Horse with Oh Dancing On Heir and the HA Country on James Brown. Leah Beth Galloday won the English Pleasure open on ROL Divine Style and Larry Hoffman won the Show Hack Championship on A Revelation BHA.

Pictured with his handler, Michael Byatt, his breeder is HRH Prince Abdullah Bin Fahad Al Saud and his owners are Stuart and Sue Larsen of Ft Lauderdale, FL. Polidoro FC was the 2014 U.S. National Champion 4-5-Year-Old Stallion, 2013 U.S. National Champion Futurity Colt and the 2011 U.S. National Reserve Champion Yearling Colt.
SF Stonewoods N Cook with Jim Lowe in the irons, won the HA English Pleasure to close the show Saturday night. Enthusiasm and fun made the 2015 Canadian National Championships a great show. As always, the Royal Red ranked among the best Arabian and Half-Arabian horse shows of the year.
