From Sara and Dima Our love story began almost 2 years ago when I went online and saw photos of my friend's wedding on my facebook newsfeed. As I just recently got engaged, I asked my friend, "who is your photographer?". And the rest is history. I met with Denise, who is really warm and I immediately knew I wanted to have her photograph the most important day of my life. She is everything I wanted in a photographer, someone who knows angels, and has a great eye for framing a shot, and who listens to my concerns. From Alison and Cody I'm not usually one to pat myself on the back, but when it comes to my decision of wedding photographer I have to give myself some serious props! :) I met Modern Love at a wedding fair and what drew me to the Modern Love booth was this photo of a husband whispering into the ear of his bride - she in turn, has this beatific smile on her face. What I liked most about this photo was the intimacy and the true raw emotion that can be seen by the viewer. To my mind this photo encompasses the overall style of Denise and her team - timeless, classy, intimate, and full of emotion. STRIKE A POSE At Modern Love Photography we pride ourselves in also capturing the most natural, candid portraiture possible. This style showcases your day as it was and allows you glimpses into moments you may have missed. While we shoot the majority of our day with intention and direction i, it’s also very important to capture traditional formal portraits as well. These group shots are best immediately when everyone is ready and fresh, right before the ceremony; and since our most important goal is getting you to your wedding on schedule, we allow 3-5 minutes for each desired grouping to ensure maximum results with minimal time. (Make sure all flowers and boutonnieres are delivered on time and affixed to family members and to the wedding party in
Because we prefer to keep the number of groups to twelve or less for more intimate group shots, we always start with the largest group and break it down after that to allow for mingling. As time permits, we love to include a picture of the bride with each of her bridesmaids and the groom with each of his groomsmen, since each person has been invited due to close, personal ties with the couple.
