The Whiskey Project is a dedicated street skate program. It grew out of the grit and glare of Venice and runs through our local spots and hometown park to our headquarters on Washington Blvd. Today, the program stretches well beyond our backyard, but remains anchored by these important roots. From the start, the Whiskey Team has driven the effort, collaborating with Arbor Collective artists on all graphic drops, and Arbor’s product team on all shapes. Each deck is built with a hybrid construction that utilizes six maple plies for lightweight performance, and a bamboo ply for added pop and durability. Bamboo is actually a grass. It is also one of the strongest materials on the planet. Bamboo’s ability to resist compression improves a skateboard’s performance. Both the maple and bamboo are sustainably grown.

The Sucrose Initiative is Arbor’s stand alone wheel program. The mission is to introduce alternative, environmentally friendly components into our urethane formulas that improve performance, while reducing the petroleum footprint of our urethane, and the environmental impact of slides and long term wear. Our focus is to facilitate team rider design, create performance and durability for a wide range of conditions, and help our customers skate longer and spend less money in the process. All Sucrose wheel are produced using one of our three Sucrose Formulations. Each of theses formulas are made in part using sugar-based alternatives. The Sucrose makes our wheels more resistant to deterioration. Hence, they last longer than competitive wheels designed for similar performance.

GRO OVETUBE SERIES The Groovetube Series contains three performance downhill wheels built around proprietary shapes and our exclusive Groovetube Core. The Groovetube Core has a wider “tube” profile that allows the wheel to hold its shape where it’s supposed to and flex where it needs to. This core design greatly improves performance across a range of conditions, improving grip, roll, and slide. Though wide and supportive, the Groovetube Core is only 35mm tall, which gives you more urethane on each wheel for longer wheel life.

NOT JUST PLANTING TREES, REBUILDING FORESTS WITH EVERY SALE. Since day one, The Arbor Collective has donated to groups that protect and restore forests. We call this program “Returning Roots.”
Our donations primarily go to preserving the Koa forests of Hawaii, which allows us to give back to the planet, and to the people and place that gave us surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding. The native Hawaiians invented surfing as early as 1,000 years ago, on boards made from Koa wood. The sports we love today tie directly to this heritage.
The Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative is our principal Returning Roots partner. This group is not just planting trees; they’re thoroughly rebuilding forests from the ground up. As of today, they’ve planted over 300,000 Koa trees, on 800 acres of former forestland with the full range of native understory plants.
The Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative is helping Arbor to do our part in the protection of forests, while we strike an important balance with our use of sustainably sourced materials.
