Polaris reigns supreme as Australia’s favorite off-road vehicle brand #1 in September and #1 YTD for the US powersports giant Riding the wave of incredible product development and outstanding momentum across the globe, Polaris was again the dominant player in the Australian ATV and side x side market during September, leading the market with 31.1 percent market share and lifting its year-to-date share to an industryleading 24.9 percent. In a national market which is up just 4.3 percent year-to-date versus the January to September period in 2013, Polaris has grown sales by 34 percent - including a staggering 78.5 percent increase in its side x side sales – to become Australia’s number one brand. Polaris grabbed 50.7 percent of the national side x side market during September, lifting its year-to-date market share of the side x side segment to 48.4 percent. Polaris was also market leader in the 451cc550cc segment with 39.6 percent share, the 551cc + segment with 27.9 percent share and the youth segment with 42.5 percent share during September. Capping off a stellar result, Polaris also boasted the two highest-selling models during the month of September in the Sportsman 400 and Hawkeye 400. Highlighting the dominance of Polaris during September, the brand held number one market position in every state and territory of Australia, including 32.2 percent share in Queensland, 32.7 percent share in New South Wales, 29.4 percent share in Victoria, 28.4 percent share in Tasmania, 39.8 percent share in South Australia, 32.9 percent share in Northern Territory and 25 percent share in Western Australia. On the back of the release of 11 new models during 2014, this growth can be largely attributed to the relentless innovation of Polaris, according to Polaris Australia Country Manager, Perry Morison. “Polaris continues to innovate and develop products at an outstanding rate, allowing us to provide more options and solutions to customers across the country,” Morison said. “Whilst these results are pleasing, our primary focus is to further our growth by continually developing products which fit the needs of our customers and importantly can withstand the rigorous working conditions of Australia farms.
