“Make it inspirational, spiritual”
…and reference a recent trip to Holland, where the intensity of nature was most on the client’s mind…
Culture x Context x Technology + Design Development = Unique Green Living
The Ancient Indian House Archetype Design Development
Saket wanted to see how the energies changed when the temple is taken out of the home…
“The house must bow to the temple, aspiring to it but never being able to touch it” - Saket Sethi
Traditionally the temple is in the NE corner according to the Vastu.
Pushing the temple away from it’s theoretically integrated location.
The courtyard moves out of the house.
Inserting the living space adjacent to the courtyard.
The courtyard disappears and becomes one with the site.

Roof I Form Development
A flat roof would not work in the case of rains, due to a risk of deflection or ponding.
Playing with the volumetric archetype of a sloping roof.
The volume of the last bedroom was inflated upward.
Further, the pitch of the roof was established for proper drainage.
The external space between the Living room and the Temple was covered with an extension cantilever.

Green House I SUNOO of the future
The next generation for Sunoo’s future was adding another level of sustainability like solar panels and more green roofing systems.
Use of parametric design to create a form for the house.
New-age 3D printing allowing to fabricate custom design facade elements.
The future of Sunoo’s green roof typology will consist of multiple permutations and combinations of green and solar roofing systems
New Green + Architecture Preservation Culture Context Technology integration
Saket’s sketch of a seaside villa in Napoli and its re-invention for the future, which was based on ideas such as self-maintaining green surfaces, smart perforated panels, automatic self-sensing climatic mechanisms, wherein structure and technology support even more intent as they get smarter.
