NATURE AND INNOCENCE
Japan
Spirit has triumphed over matter. Greatness of conception is expressed by means of utter simplicity, the intangible by the tangible. The timeless modernity is striking: outdoors and indoors the building and the garden are one continuous space composition; a sequence of interior spaces suggests unlimited flexibility by sliding walls and windows, no static spaces, no symmetry, no centre focus. Space – here the only medium of artistic stimulation – appears to be magically floating.
