Detroit - the community of people who care about the future, have a hope as well as their own memories and attachments to this city. “I want to stay here and grow my children here”- claims a young women met in the empty street of Detroit. It becomes clear, that this city has probably even more mental values and potential comparing to some other metropolitan cities all over the world. Positive energy of each individual creates an attraction force that results in the will to stay, to live comfortably and to develop the place. Affected by the real values of city, I develop a project that is rather social experiment than architectural project. The main idea is : “I care even if I don`t owe this”. It is based on human care after the surrounding he or she lives in. I uncover the issue of ‘mental lots’ in the vacant fields that have no physical grid of lots anymore, but the radial zones measured by human eye. It should evoke one`s understanding that by taking care after the things that do not necessarily belong to us (in this case the environment around one`s housing), we can create a good place to live in.
