PRODUCTION COORDINATOR (m/f) Architecture Workroom (AW) is expanding its team with a production coordinator to work on a number of ongoing projects involving cultural productions that are being set up together with the International Architecture Biennial in Rotterdam. As a result of the double edition IABR 2018 + 2020 The Missing Link, exhibitions and a public program will also be realized in Flanders and Brussels.You will be part of a dynamic and committed team of architects and researchers. As production coordinator, you will be responsible for managing, providing specific support and implementing one or more cultural productions within AW. What is Architecture Workroom? AW is a cultural think-and-do tank for innovation in architecture and urban planning. As initiator, mediator and platform, AW creates the space and conditions for innovative architecture and for design research. AW consists of a team of ten architect researchers and is led by three partners. The longer strategic work lines of AW focus on visionary housing, productive landscapes, caring neighbourhoods and the productive city. As a platform for design research and knowledge sharing, AW contributes to the broad social debate, to professional practice and knowledge development, and to the renewal of urban development and policy. Brussels, small cosmopolitan and Capital of Europe, is the ideal base - also often the laboratory - for AW to contribute to the national and international debate on shaping the urbanising world in which we live. Job description The production coordinator: - Organizes and produces the activities and actions for the cultural productions that AW wishes to achieve in the context of the cooperation with the International Architecture Biennial Rotterdam. This ranges from the production of exhibitions, the programming of events (workshops and public meetings) to communication about this. - Will develop the process design and coordinate the (substantive) elaboration, while continuously monitoring the ambitions and progress of the process. the partner(s) involved. - Maintains contact with the partners of AW, the architects, researchers, experts and other parties involved. - Analyses and synthesises the work delivered and communicates with professionals, authorities and the press. - Monitors the budget, planning and administration of the projects and regularly reports to the partners on the achieved results. Profile We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and talented candidates. - With experience in culture production (organising exhibitions, public events, publication of books etc.); - Able to lead projects independently and to pro actively execute the organizational and production activities that result from this; - Prepared to work in an international and multidisciplinary (content, production) team; - Driven by involvement in social and spatial issues, particularly in relation to climate change and urbanization, and prepared to take the complexity as a starting point; - Able to approach complex issues in a structured way, to synthesise them and to translate them into work processes; - Possess a vision and knowledge of the theory, practice and the latest developments related to architecture and urban planning; - Results-oriented and able to perform well under pressure; - Highly flexible in terms of working hours; - Fluent in Dutch, French and/or English, both verbally and in writing; - With knowledge of basic software packages.

b We offer a full-time position of a fixed duration or a cooperation on a freelance basis. Salary and the terms of employment are in accordance with the difficulty of the position, suitable for a small socio-cultural organization and depending on qualifications and experience (PC 329.01).
