Darling is CEO and cofounder of The Architect’s Newspaper, celebrating its 16th year. The A|N media group consists of print and digital publications covering architecture and design news, as well as the Facades+ and TECH+ conferences. As A|N’s publisher, Darling won the AIA National Collaboration Award, Grassroots Preservation Award, and ASLA NY’s President’s Award. She began her publishing career as director of print production for The Gap’s European markets. She holds a BS from the University of Texas at Austin.
DIONNE DARLING Associate Publisher, The Architect’s Newspaper
Dionne Darling is the associate publisher for The Architect’s Newspaper. Darling has over 25 years experience in business development and sales and handles B2B relationships across the west and southwest regions for A|N. She lives in Arlington, Texas.
Kramer has been with The Architect’s Newspaper for over 6 years, expanding Facades+ from a single conference to a dozen. With A|N, she has co-founded the new TECH+ Expo. Previously, Kramer was Co-Chair of Union Square Community Coalition. A Miami Beach native, Kramer graduated from Parsons School of Design.
MARTY WOOD Program Director, The Architect’s Newspaper
Wood is the Program Director for the Facades+ and TECH+ conferences. He also helps manage special projects and initiatives for The Architect’s Newspaper and helps facilitate the overall efforts of the marketing and sales teams. Additionally, he is an contributing writer for design publications such as The Architect’s Newspaper and Metropolis. Wood has a B.A in Communications from San Francisco State University and an M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation.

Chermely is an architect and technical director in the Atlanta office of Perkins+Will His experience has covered all facets of the design and construction process on a large variety of programs and scales. He has worked with the BMW Manufacturing Group in South Carolina to design and deliver the Site Operations Center at BMW, which received the 2017 AIA Georgia Honor Award.
McEvoy is an award-winning designer who passionately believes in the transformational power of design. He works at a variety of scales and project types combining high-end design with high-performance environment. He is a leader in Perkins+Will’s Excellence in Design Initiative, serving as the Atlanta liaison. He also serves as board chair for the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA), Atlanta’s only designfocused museum.
SPEAKERS CARLIE BULLOCK-JONES Principal, Ecoworks Studio
Bullock-Jones, LEED Fellow, WELL AP, is the founder and managing principal of Ecoworks Studio. She has dedicated her entire career to bringing about a greener, healthier built environment. As a nationally known expert in sustainability and LEED consulting, Bullock-Jones has taken numerous award-winning projects from start to finish, achieving high levels of LEED certification through the design and construction process. In 2012, Bullock-Jones was recognized as a LEED Fellow; one of 77 in the world.

LEE ANN GAMBLE Founder, Gamble and Gamble Architects
Gamble, principal of Gamble + Gamble Architects in Atlanta, has 27 years of experience as an architect specializing in adaptive reuse, historic preservation, hospitality, retail and commercial projects. Gamble is a LEED Accredited Professional. The work of G+G has received local, state, and international recognition.

GUS DROSOS Technical Principal & Sr VP, HOK
As the technical principal for HOK’s Kansas City practice, Drosos has more than 25 years of experience overseeing quality control and the technical aspects of large-scale sports and entertainment projects. His knowledge and hands-on experience working with project construction teams and owner groups, gives him invaluable perspective on the technical aspects of project delivery. He has coordinated the design
Senior Associate, Lord Aeck Sargent
For nearly 20 years, Gassman has led large, multi-faceted design teams focused on sustainable design. During his career he has managed a broad spectrum of projects, ranging from large research labs for major universities to interpretive education centers. He holds degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and Arizona State University.

ERIKA KANE Architect, Perkins+Will
Kane has worked with Perkins+Will for over the past 12 years on a number of project types, including commercial, mixed-use, corporate interiors, higher education, K-12 education, and science-technology. She focuses on the design and detailing aspects, finding fun and interesting opportunities to elevate the design in a thoughtful, economical way. Kane is an architecture graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology and was selected by Perkins+Will’s Design Leadership Council as a next generation design leader for 2017.
PIERLUCA MAFFEY Principal, VP of Design, John Portman & Associates
Maffey is a versatile international architect who excels at leading teams through all project phases. Bringing nearly 24 years of experience to John Portman & Associates, his knowledge of developing and implementing creative, thoughtful solutions to complex schemes has led to successful projects including the Expo Hotel in Shanghai, the Park Hyatt in Hyderabad, India, and the Hyundai Gangnam Headquarters Seoul in South Korea in addition to his two most recent projects Anthem Technology Center and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Hotel in Atlanta.

ROB O’KEEFE Principal, tvsdesign
O’Keefe has over 18 years experience designing in multiple markets including convention, science-technology, office, and cultural arts. His expert grasp of design and communication technologies makes him ideally suited both for the intricacy of program-driven arts venues and the complexity of large-scale civic projects, such as the Music City Center in Nashville and Ningxia International Conference Center in China. O’Keefe is a leader of an interdisciplinary studio at tvsdesign that develops thoughtful and smartly detailed projects.
HOWARD WERTHEIMER Assistant Vice President, CP&SM Georgia Institute of Technology
Wertheimer, a fellow in the American Institute of Architects and a LEED AP, is the AVP of Capital Planning & Space Management at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has strategic oversight of the campus master plan, landscape master plan, historic preservation plan, campus-wide sustainability initiatives, and most things visually exposed.

MARCO NICOTERA Associate Principal, Perkins+Will
Nicotera is an Associate Principal at Perkins+Will Atlanta. Working on projects both in the United States and abroad, his process recognizes architecture as a multi-disciplinary design effort that deals with issues of context, scale and sustainability. He is a recipient of the NixMann Fellowship at the Georgia Tech College

Yocum received a MArch from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College. Prior to founding the firm, he was a senior project architect with Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects. He is a professor of practice in architecture at the Georgia Tech College of Architecture. Yocum is a registered architect in Georgia, and with Brian Bell, he leads all design and management aspects of BLDGS.
