CONFERENCE CO-CHAIR MATTHEW KRISSEL Partner, KieranTimberlake Krissel is an architect and partner at KieranTimberlake. He has over 17 years of experience working with cultural, educational, and government clients, and is currently working on projects at New York University and Yale University. In addition, he leads initiatives dedicated to digital innovation, visualization, and knowledge sharing within the firm. He has lectured at AIA Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP), AIA Committee on Design, Facades+, Harvard University, National Institute of Building Sciences, and elsewhere.

SPEAKERS CHRISTOPHER CONNOCK Design Computation Director, KieranTimberlake Connock is a design researcher at KieranTimberlake. He explores topics related to construction systems, digital fabrication processes, hardware-software interfaces, and informatics. He has applied this knowledge to the design for modular housing in India and to the invention of Pointelist, a low-cost, high-density sensor network. DANIELLE DILEO KIM Founding Principal, Locus Partners DiLeo Kim, AIA, is cofounding principal of Locus Partners, an urban strategy firm that brings together the interests of community and development to create innovative building and landscape solutions. As an architect and urban designer, DiLeo Kim has led the realization of institutional and cultural buildings, master plans, and engagement processes for community and stakeholders in the Philadelphia region for over 20 years. SCOTT ERDY Principal, Erdy McHenry Architecture With over 20 years of experience, Erdy’s work has been recognized by the AIA for excellence in design, earning regional and national awards. His work is appreciated for its formal expression of site conditions and functional programmatic requirements. Scott was educated at Ohio State University and earned his M.Arch from Syracuse University. He has taught and lectured in design and technology courses, including Thesis Studio at Philadelphia University. He currently teaches a graduate design studio at the University of Pennsylvania. EFRIE FRIEDLANDER Environmental Researcher, KieranTimberlake As a researcher and architect at KieranTimberlake, Friedlander helps bridge the gap between data and design. She works on a range of architec-

tural and software projects, including the Tally® Life Cycle Assessment tool. She steers the firm’s BIM group, founded Philadelphia’s Dynamo User Group, and teaches digital analysis at Temple University.

JEFF GOLDSTEIN Principal, DIGSAU Goldstein is a principal and founding partner at DIGSAU and is passionate about the relationship between people and their physical surroundings. He received a BA in biology and environmental studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a M.Arch from Yale University. As a member of the Community Design Collaborative’s Board of Directors, Goldstein serves as co-chair of the Design Services Committee. TOM KIRK Partner, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson With more than 20 years of experience, Kirk provides a wealth of design and master planning experience at Bohlin Cywinski Jackson. He believes buildings can transform their environments through the strong connection between landscape, program, and materials and the simple expression of structure. He has led formative projects at BCJ’s Philadelphia office, including the Cherie Flores Garden Pavilion at Hermann Park and the Sumers Recreation Center at Washington University in St. Louis. PETAR MATTIONI Partner, KSS Architects Mattioni has a practical design methodology that balances design with client objectives, technical coordination, and effective project execution. His commitment to strong client relationships and building consensus results in successful projects, particularly in the field of higher education. Mattioni is involved in all aspects of the planning and excels in conducting research and analysis in the initial stages of design and documentation.


JON MCCANDLISH Associate, KieranTimberlake McCandlish is an architect and associate at KieranTimberlake with experience working for educational and government clients including New York University and the United States Department of State. Currently at work on 181 Mercer, a sustainable, multi-use facility for NYU, McCandlish has also served as a guest critic at the University of Edinburgh, Parsons New School for Design, and the University of Pennsylvania. FÁTIMA OLIVIERI Architect, KieranTimberlake As an architect at KieranTimberlake, Olivieri has worked on projects for New York University and Harvard University. She co-leads the firm’s BIM Practices group, teaches a graduate-level design studio at Temple University, and has been a contributing writer for Hidden City Philadelphia and other publications. Olivieri received her M.Arch from the University of Virginia, where she won a Design Excellence Award. ERIC OSKEY Partner, Moto Designshop Oskey is a Philadelphia-based registered architect and a partner of the award-winning firm Moto Designshop, and also an associate professor in the Architecture Department at the Tyler School of Art, Temple University. He received

his M.Arch from Cornell University and undergraduate from Drexel University. He has over 20 years of professional experience. His teaching and research involves foundations in beginning design, the observation of the urban condition and its temporal transition, ecology, and sustainability.

BRIAN RINGLEY Senior Researcher, WeWork Ringley is a senior researcher at WeWork where he leads the Construction Optimization team, playing a pivotal role in developing and testing new methods of building manufacture and construction and working collaboratively with other researchers and WeWork’s design, construction, and logistics teams. He teaches courses on data-driven parametric design, interoperable workflow convergence, and robotic automation for manufacturing at Pratt Institute. Prior to WeWork, Ringley was an associate and design technology specialist at Woods Bagot. SHANTA TUCKER Associate Director, Atelier Ten Tucker is recognized for her leadership in building performance simulation and consulting on both local and international projects. Her recent work includes France’s first high-rise project to pursue LEED Platinum and HQE certification, developing a long-term feasibility study for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a laboratory of the future in Boston.

CONFERENCE ORGANIZERS DIANA DARLING CONFERENCE DIRECTOR Publisher, The Architect’s Newspaper Darling is CEO and cofounder of The Architect’s Newspaper, celebrating its 15th year. The A|N media group consists of print and digital publications covering architecture and design news, as well as the Facades+ and TECH+ conferences. As A|N’s publisher, Darling won the AIA National Collaboration Award, Grassroots Preservation Award, and ASLA NY’s President’s Award. She began her publishing career as director of print production for The Gap’s European markets. She holds a BS from the University of Texas at Austin. DIONNE DARLING Associate Publisher, The Architect’s Newspaper Dionne Darling is the associate publisher for The Architect’s Newspaper. Darling has over 25 years experience in business development and sales and handles B2B relationships across the

west and southwest regions for A|N. She lives in Arlington, Texas.

SUSAN KRAMER Special Events Director, The Architect’s Newspaper Susan Kramer has been with The Architect’s Newspaper for over 6 years, expanding Facades+ from a single conference to a dozen. With A|N, she has co-founded the new TECH+ Expo. Previously, Kramer was Co-Chair of Union Square Community Coalition. A Miami Beach native, Kramer graduated from Parsons School of Design. MARTY WOOD Program Director, The Architect’s Newspaper Wood directs the programming of the Facades+ and TECH+ conferences for The Architect’s Newspaper. He holds a Masters from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation.
