Impoverished, cold and starving: Masetto, a brilliant but impoverished artist, and Zerlina, his love and muse, are being ripped off by his agent and exploited by powerful, wealthy collectors in this bloody Jacobean revenge tale with Baroque musical inspiration.

This opera in four acts tells the story of a young poet, Werther, and his muse, Charlotte, in a tragic tale of forbidden love.
