Secure / Saf e Cashier and Limited Access Areas: Jo int Use Retail space types will typically include areas that as designated as "emplo yee o nly" access, such as a manager's o ffice, emplo yee kitchen/lavato ry, and merchandise and general sto rage. These areas will require increased security aro und do o rs and o ther access ways.

Sust ainable Retail Window Display: Retail windo w display systems such as neo n enterprise signage and display and deco rative lighting sho uld be designed to be energy efficient when po ssible. Take advantage o f natural daylighting and ventilatio n to lo wer utility co sts, and co nsider utilizing windo w display features as shading devices to decrease direct so lar gain.
