Liz Zendner
Special Events/Fundraising Chair How long have you been volunteering with the Red Cross? I started volunteering a year ago. What’s your motivation for volunteering? I wanted to fill in the gap in my employment, sharpen my event planning skills, and give back to the community. What’s your favorite volunteering story? My first event as a Chair was the Armed Forces Bowl Tailgate Party. We were not sure how many volunteers or attendees to expect but we ended up having a great turnout and were able to serve a lot of the single sailors from the barracks.
