Are you interested in getting your CPR/First Aid/AED certification but don't have time to take the class? Blended Learning may be the perfect solution for you! Blended Learning combines online learning with in-person skills sessions conducted by Red Cross-certified instructors. The blended learning online session offers students a variety of elements to learn program content including videos, lesson narration and special features. In order to move on to the in-person session, students must pass the assessment at the end of the online session and should print a copy of their online completion certification to submit to the instructor. Once the online session has been successfully completed, students practice skills and are assessed by the instructor during the in-person skills session. Upon successful completion of blended learning online and in-person sessions, course takers receive the same two-year certification as course takers of traditional classroom training.
Congratulations to our January and February Volunteers of the Month! Chuck Zapf is a dedicated member of the ARC Disaster Action Team. Sense the start of 2014 he has completed over 16 hours of disaster preparedness training, including FEMA level 100 and 200 training. Liz Zendner is the ARC Sigonella Special Events/Fundraising Chair. In February she put in 70 hours of volunteer time. She worked tirelessly to coordinate the Heart Healthy Run in partnership with MWR and she’s helped ARC solidify a working relationship with several other organizations around base.
