Rainy Season is Here! Fall/Winter can mean heavy rains and flooding in Sigonella. Keep your family safe with these tips on preparing for a flood. Prepare a Family Disaster Plan Assemble a Disaster Supplies Kit Containing: -First aid kit and essential medications -Canned food and can opener -At least 3 gallons of water per person -Flashlights and extra batteries -Protective clothing, rainwear, and bedding or sleeping bags -Special items for infant, elderly, or disabled family members Have a NEO Kit prepared for your family and be sure to include your pets. Know what to expect -If it has been raining hard for several hours or steadily raining for several days, be alert to the possibility of a flood If you would like more information on how to get you and your family prepared for potential floods or other disasters contact the Red Cross office on NAS 1.
