Arctic Adventures is an eco-adventure company with its main office in Reykjavík but operations all over the country. Our roots lie in the first adventure company founded here in Iceland, all the way back in 1983. Our main source of success lies in the breathtaking Icelandic nature and the adventure it offeres. Description: Our Golden Circle & Rafting starts with a rafting trip on the beautiful Hvítá river which carries the milky runoff of the mighty Langjökull glacier on its twisting journey to Iceland’s south coast. There we take on big waves and fun rapids, swim in pure glacial waters, and have the option of jumping off a cliff into the river! After a refreshing sauna and shower, we grab lunch at our Drumbó rafting base and hit the road for the world famous Golden Circle Sightseeing trip. The Golden Circle & Rafting has it all: stunning natural beauty, fascinating history, amazing geological wonders, and an exciting river rafting adventure! La journée commence par la descente en rafting de la rivière glaciaire Hvítá, depuis notre camp de base de Drumboddsstaðir. Puis, après le déjeuner, nous visiterons les sites exceptionnels de Geysir, Gullfoss et Þingvellir. Aventure et découverte de panoramas uniques, voilà le programme de notre Golden Circle & Rafting! Description: The trip starts with a scenic drive the world renowned geothermal area around Geysir hot spring. There the ground gurgles, bubbles and super heated water escapes from the ground with enormous force. Next we stroll down to Gullfoss, the undisputed queen of Icelandic waterfalls. Gullfoss is an amazing sight, the water rushes down three steps of lava layers with breathtaking power and grandeur. We end the day with a stop at Þingvellir National park. Þingvellir is a UNESCO world heritage site and it is the place where the great tectonic plates of America and Europe meet! You will see the continental rift up close as you snorkel through the stunningly clear blue waters of Silfra. Description: Golden Circle & Snowmobiling allows visitors to get in touch with some of Iceland’s most famous and exciting natural phenomena. Our first stop is at Þingvellir National Park. Þingvellir is one of Iceland’s most historic sites, it was here that Iceland’s first parliament was founded in the year 930 AD. From Þingvellir we head towards the world renowned geothermal area around Geysir hot spring. From there we continue on to Gullfoss where your proximity to its edge is so close you can feel the spray of the glacial water on your face. Next we kick the action into higher gear as we get even closer to Iceland’s nature and go for a snowmobiling tour on Langjökull, the second largest glacier of Iceland. Nous vous emmenons en Super-Jeep à la découverte de Geysir et des impressionnantes chutes d’or de Gullfoss.
