The Biryani House was conceptualized in Bahrain. After a complete survey of the Biryani Market in Bahrain for a year, we realized that it is a huge sector which has immense potential and yet unorganized. It also came to our notice that there has been a tremendous demand in the QSR and delivery segment which seemed promising. After exploring the Bahrain market, we were very sure of the immense potential in the Biryani market but thought of exploring other markets as well before getting into this business. We started our first outlet in Kalyan, Maharashtra with a very small team. We worked on different Biryani flavours and developed a menu of more than 50 varieties of Dum Biryanis. We started catering locals with the best biryani in town and that too at a very reasonable price. Eventually, we realized the need to grow and move to a prime location. We maintained the existing outlet as the main kitchen and opened a QSR delivery outlet in Mumbai. Since its very inception “The Biryani House” has been an organization that is based on honesty and integrity which specializes in providing India’s Largest Variety of Dum Biryani. Our success is the result of hard work and dedication of the whole team – which makes The Biryani House one of the fastest growing, process oriented, asset-light F&B Company since 2015. What this manual covers and why to follow : Brand guidelines are important because they help define how the brand elements are used and guide the rules on how a business speaks with the audience. Brand guidelines are a set of tools and rules on how to use your branding elements. The guidelines are used by designers, writers, and anyone else using your brand’s elements like your logo to create marketing materials.

Logo
The logo is designed keeping in mind the hotness of biryani. As biryani is famous for its unique cooking style and fragrance. Usually fire is below the handi (cooking basin made from copper or clay-pot), but here in our logo we have shown fire above the handi. Fire here signifies the hotness of fragrance of biryani which itself works as an appitizer for any biryani lover. We also needed to mention our brand “THE BIRYANI HOUSE” which is creatively displayed in our logo. “THE” in the logo is transparent not white. The font in logo for the brand name is intelligently selected as we also deal in kababs and more. The spikes in the font gives the feel of barbeque and raise temptation as well as curiosity for the brand.

The colour orange is bright and fresh. Fire and the curves which looks like brackets around the handi both signifies biryani fragrance and its flavour respectively; hence we have used in orange colour. The colour brown which is not do dark and also gives the earthly feeling. The sticks, handi and the name BIRYANI HOUSE; as brown is bold and visibily clear colour.

To ensure that clear space is maintained around the logo for legibility and prominence, photos, text and graphic elements must follow the guidelines illustrated here. Use the letter “N” as a measuring tool to help maintain clearance.

To maintain full legibility, never reproduce the logo at height smaller than 0.5 inch (for print) or width 100 pixels (for web). There is no maximum size limit, but use discretion when sizing the logo. It should never be the most dominant element on the page, but instead should live comfortably and clearly as an identifying mark.

Logo usage do’s
We have seen in previous section that logo can be presentated in major three colours signature Orange, Brown and Black colours. Though full colour logo is only allowed on white background but in some case can be used over lighter shades (10%) of signature colours or black.
Usage of Logo on mixed colour or image background To maintain full legibility and visibility of logo its better to avoid using logo on any image or mixed colour background. But still its needed as per any particular usage a white contour for the logo to be used to maintain its visibility. A particular designed watermark impression type is allowed to use on brand photo shoots while representing in web media when needed.

Logo can be presented in major three colours signature Orange, Brown and Black colours. Full colour logo only can be used in the combination of signature Orange + Brown no any other colours allowed, but there are some rules which have to be followed while displaying logo in these colours too.

Following styles should be avoided while using logo against any combination of signature colour background or even not allowed any other colour.

Logo with tagline Yes there’s brand name in the logo, but we also use an unique tagline to upbeat our brand logo; “INDIA’S LARGEST VARIETY OF DUM BIRYANIS”. This tagline should be used with logo keeping the breathing space with logo. This tagline should be displayed below the logo as shown with example. Tagline should be center aligned and bottom of logo. Tagline should be displayed in prominent readable size and colour. Font used for tagline is Helvetica Normal, all caps. In some case if logo is too large and there no horizontal space it should be noted that tagline should be kept in one line without splits; hence using condenced form of the font is allowed. If logo is small and tagline text visibility is almost getting lost see that font is visible keeping it bit bigger, condenced form and if needed bold is also allowed. Tagline should be displayed either in signature colour, black or white on black backgrounds respectively. Using tagline everywhere is not compulsory, we can go with just logo.
