From your Family and MWR Director Hello Area I & II Community Members, So this is our second month putting out the, as I affectionately call it, ‘Dually’ MWR magazine for both Area I (Camp Casey) and Area II (Yongsan). “Pssst’, let me give you ‘heads-up’ what we’ve been doing, we intentionally, at times, make obvious mistakes on the Jammie G. Hawkins cover to see if anyone notices. How can Deputy Director of FMWR you tell, well you will have to compare it USAG Yongsan/USAG Casey to the Digital cover that we place on our Facebook page. When you figure it out, contact our Marketing Office, phone available in the magazine, and tell them what it is. If you are correct, you’re eligible to win a prize… now this is a first come first serve find! Only one person wins; oh, and by the way, we don’t do it every month. So keep an eye out for these forthcoming mistakes. We said goodbye to USAG Red Cloud on 21 June with a Casing of the Colors; it was pretty emotional for many of us and of course at the same time we bid Col Newton, the last USAG Red Cloud Garrison Commander, farewell. Beautiful Ceremony hosted at the Camp Red Cloud, Village Greens. We are now USAG Casey and Area I and our Casey Garrison Commander is LTC Jacobs and our Direct Report Commander is Col Washington from Garrison Yongsan. “So long Col Newton and hello Col Washington!” Col Washington assumed command on 22 June and is responsible as the Direct Garrison Commander for both Areas 1 and 2. We also have CSM Robertson who assumed responsibility as the Direct Garrison CSM; two new, fresh, talented and great individuals… Welcome to both of you! One last note before I wrap it up, Camp Red Cloud BOSS program will be phasing itself into an Area I BOSS program. Begin this month with end state 1 October becoming simply one BOSS program; to be known as, you got it, Area I BOSS! We have a lot going on in July, but our “Main Event” is celebrating our nations Independence with a “4th of July Celebration” at both Camp Casey and Garrison Yongsan. They will both feature awesome fireworks, activities, foods & beverages, bands, DJ and much more… read inside the magazine for all the details. Well, enough said… peruse the “Dually” MWR Magazine and find your niche; and don’t forget to join us as we celebrate our “Nation’s Birthday!”

See you out and about….. Jammie G. Hawkins
