Toddler Activities Moms Should Keep On Their Shortlist

Toddlers are like a bunny in the energizer battery commercial – they keep going and going. They learn how their bodies function by running, jumping and climbing. Meet new friends on playgrounds and bruise their knees from scratches and fall. Toddlers need to be challenged more; parents must learn how to choose activities that are challenging yet fun and engaging. Based from a study, toddlers can become active for at least 180 minutes (3 hours) everyday. Here’s a list of a ti ities that toddlers an ork on: Toddlers at 12-24 months 1. Babies Play Time – Babies love to play, get low- ost a y-friendly toys that they an play on, colorful objects, shapes and boxes. To keep your baby safe, watch your baby play at all times. Prepare your floor or grass at the backyard by adding putting a blanket on the floor. 2. Listen to Music and Dance – The easiest activity for young toddlers is to let them listen to beats and dance together with them. Dance encourages movement and physical exercise, babies love flexing their muscles just to be in the beat.

Toddlers at 24-36 months 3. Playground Free Play – Toddlers at this age love running on open space and climbing slides, these activities are ideal to practice your kids motor skills, movement and balance. Praise your toddler whenever they accomplish something, it can encourage them a lot. 4. Playground activities with Moms – We too can play with our toddlers; bring items like balls that they can chase. If you want to just sit, bring a bubble that you can blow and make your toddlers chase it and pop. Parents can also do this at home, throw something like a ping-pong ball, tennis ball or light weight ball and make your toddlers chase it. Old socks should work too. 5. Play with a bike, scooter or tricycle – With proper supervision, playing with these fun riding toys can help practice your kids ability to balance. Just make sure that everything is safe, have your toddler wear a protective helmet and protective gear every time they ride. In Summary Toddlers love playing; playing can teach your kids so many things. Give them opportunities to play and allow them to get tired from running around. Active kids have good body coordination and movement, healthy bones, healthy heart and healthy living.
