LONGEST TRAVELLER: TRIBUNA UFFIZI trained by G Scott, Newmarket, 155 miles. RACE SUMMARY

It’s tough to ignore the claims of TRIBUNA UFFIZI who does rather stand out as one heading in the right direction and his good claimer’s 5lb allowance cancels out his penalty for last week’s course success. Alkhattaaf arrives on the back of some good runs at Chepstow and can figure again, while Devorgilla chased home the selection at Windsor on her latest start. 1-2-3: 1.TRIBUNA UFFIZI (IRE) 2.ALKHATTAAF 3.DEVORGILLA KEY colours

MR RUMBALICIOUS took a step forward when fifth upped to this trip on the all-weather at Lingfield handicap last time, catching the eye with his finishing effort. This track is likely to be more suitable and he should get a stronger pace to aim at this time, so there’s a good chance that he will raise his game another notch. City Escape was just touched off by Plansina over C&D a fortnight ago and a 1lb pull may be enough for her to turn the tables this time and emerge as the main danger.
