15:00 Competition closes (15 minutes before 2nd race)
16:20 Finalists contacted and instructed to head to the parade ring
We are delighted to welcome you to our Ladies’ Day! We are set for a wonderful day of racing, fashion, food, drink and live music!
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome today’s sponsors, Olivia’s Boutique, The Hot Air Balloon Company, Fitzdares and the family of Rosemary Painting. I would like to thank them for their generosity and wish them an enjoyable day. We have teamed up with Olivia’s Boutique to provide a 360-degree camera for racegoers on the lawn by the Parade Ring so you can mark your day in style!
Today we are welcoming the return of our much anticipated Style Awards - where the winner takes home a huge £500 cash prize. The competition is open to all racegoers, and all you need to do to enter is head to our flower wall by the Kelston Boxes in order to have your photo taken. There will also be a spotter in the crowd looking for the best outfits. Those who make the shortlist will be announced on the big screen and will be invited to the Parade Ring at around 4.20pm for final judging before the 2023 winner is announced.
After the racing finishes, we still have a number of events occurring at the racecourse. We have a live DJ performing immediately after racing finishes, and for those who want to continue the day’s festivities into the evening, we have an afterparty at Second Bridge Nightclub in Bath where racegoers get free entry if they show their Ladies Day tickets on the door
We have a number of exciting upcoming events at the racecourse in the near future. We are excited to welcome back the return of our Cider Racenight featuring the Wurzels on Saturday 19th August, in addition to our Rum and Reggae Racenight on Friday 4th August which also features live music from a fantastic local Reggae Band. We still have spaces in our hospitality boxes and restaurants for these nights, so be sure have a look at these options on our website for an exciting evening.
We hope you have a wonderful afternoon with us, and we hope to welcome you back soon to another 2023 fixture.
Wishing you a very enjoyable day from all at Bath Racecourse.

RACE SUMMARY
Preference is for MASTERDREAM, who shaped prettywell on his seasonal reappearance here in April and shaped better than the bare result over hurdles at Worcester since Russian Rumour has found just one too good on both starts so far this season and she looks set for another leading role, while Appreciate could also be a factor if his recent hurdles form translates back to this sphere. Cherry Cola is likely to be on the premises, too.
