The team at Bath Racecourse are delighted to welcome you to our Afternoon Racing on what promises to be a fantastic day’s racing.

We are set for an exciting afternoon of racing, with six flat races taking place throughout the raceday. I would like to take this opportunity to extend a very warm welcome to today’s sponsors – Bresbet who are kindly sponsoring five of today’s races; and Guardian Building Systems who are also kindly sponsoring one of today’s races. I would like to thank both of our sponsors for their generosity and wish them an enjoyable afternoon.

Our next meeting is our popular Cider Racenight featuring the Wurzels on Saturday 19th August. We are set for a wonderful day – featuring six exciting flat races followed by a fantastic performance from the Wurzels who will be performing their popular hits such as ‘Combine Harvester’ and ‘Blackbird’, in addition to many of their chart-topping hits from the 1970’s. The Wurzels last performed at Bath Racecourse in 2022 and were a phenomenal hit, so we are very excited for their return. We will also be serving a variety of delicious foods and will have a range of ciders available throughout the evening. We are already at full capacity in our Roof Garden; however we still have limited availability in our Royal Crescent Restaurant and Paddock Pavilion Restaurant for the evening.

We are now over halfway through the season and have seen an incredible standard of racing throughout. I want to take this opportunity to especially thank all of the Owners and Trainers that have chosen to enter their horses here at Bath so far this season – your support is greatly appreciated, and we are wishing you the best of luck for both today and future fixtures.

We wish you an enjoyable afternoon and hope to welcome you to another fixture in the near future.

RACE SUMMARY

NEVENDON went down only to track specialist Blue Hero over C&D last time and might be able to go one better off the same mark. Galactic Glow knows where the winning post is here, which counts for plenty at this level, and he’s second choice ahead of Lhebayeb, who has regularly been placed this season but remains winless.

RACE SUMMARY

MYAMBITION completed a double at this track in May/June and produced another big effort at Windsor last time, so this thriving 4yo is the obvious one to side with. Eye of The Water usually gives his running and has a solid record at the track, so he’s likely to be on the premises and market support for the unexposed Jack Sparowe would look significant.
