Took form to another level when narrow winner of Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot. Not disgraced back down in trip when fourth in Grand Prix de Paris and this test will suit.
Star Ratings Explained
Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below:
HHHHH Selected to win the race.
HHHHI Good chance of being placed.
HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims
HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope.
HIIII Can be given little or no chance.
OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability.
The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances).
The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.

LEADING COURSE TRAINER (17-22): K Ryan (16 wins from 166 runners, 10%) runs MAGICAL SPIRIT

LONGEST TRAVELLERS: STERLING KNIGHT trained by E Dunlop, CELSIUS trained by Tom Clover & BERNARDO O’REILLY trained by R Spencer - all Newmarket, 128 miles.
STERLING KNIGHTended last seasonon the up, bagging back-to-backHaydock handicaps over this trip, and he is taken to pick up where he left off by completing the hat-trick A 3lb rise for Bernardo O’Reilly’s reappearance success at Newbury doesn’t look excessive and Celsius, who goes well fresh, are likely players. However, Tinto wasn’t beaten far off a higher mark than this in a major sprint handicap last season and he is second choice.

RACE STATS RACE SUMMARY
An open-looking contest with the vote in favour of DIVINE COMEDY. A low-mileage mare, she made it 2 wins from 4 starts last year when successful at Redcar in October (final start for Chris Wall) and it’s possible she can rate higher still this campaign. Daaris is less exposed than most and is a danger, along with Redcar scorer Lunar Jet Dundory is also worth keeping an eye on back on turf.

HORSE WELFARE COMES FIRST AT DONCASTER
At every race meeting at Doncaster our top priority is the safety and welfare of both horse and rider We have a dedicated team of highly qualified vets and doctors following the action at all times and a horse ambulance in attendance at every meeting.
Use of Screens
It is our policy to erect green screens around any horse requiring veterinary attention. This does NOT reflect the severity of any injury, but does help to provide a calm environment, in which the vet is better able to treat the horse.
Please do not assume the worst if you see screens erected around a fallen horse!
