Over the past 15 years The Racehorse Sanctuary & Rehoming Centre has grown and is now seen as one of the country’s leading equine charities catering for the ex-racehorse
The charity is unique in that whilst there are many other charitable organisations catering for ex-racehorses, all doing and excellent job, the Centre is the only one specialising in thoroughbreds who find the transition to a life after racing difficult, and in many cases, traumatising Where other centers simply cannot offer the time or manage the implications involved with these problem horses, the Centre can step in and offer a lifeline
In this our fifteenth year, it is imperative that we put all our efforts into raising funds to continue our vital work There is life after racing, even for those hor ses who find things difficult initially, as proved by many of the horses that we have rehabilitated and rehomed
We would like to thank all those who have worked so hard putting today’s event together - the Raceday Committee and supporters who have given their time and all those generous people who have donated the wonderful array of items on offer today
On behalf of our Patrons, our loyal supporters and importantly all the horses that are currently at the Centre, thank you for your continued support

GRANDADS COTTAGE made light of a lengthy absence and was arguably deserving of extra credit as he overcame a patient ride (in a slowly-run race) and a late mistake to score on chase debut at Wetherby over Christmas. Very much the type to do better, he gets the nod to come out on top again, with Bangor scorer Fable fancied to give him most to think about.

BOLSOVER BILL has thrived refitted with a tongue tie this season and can return to winning ways having done too much too soon at Fakenham earlier in the month. The biggest threat could be Lightonthewing, who was unfortunate when stumbling on landing and unseating his rider last time, while Hector Jaguen can progress from his chase debut.

PLEASE HELP FEED OUR SANCTUARY RESIDENTS THIS WINTER
Your donation will make a huge the difference.
Winter has really hit the Racehorse Sanctuary and Rehoming Centre hard with the extended freezing conditions on top of the usual cold, very wet and windy weather This has led to the horses needing extra feed, supplements, and in some cases, medication which is essential in keeping them healthy and happy during these long winter months
The increase in costs come in the form of extra good quality hay, plenty of fibre rich feed and bedding such as straw and shavings, all of which have dramatically increased in price since the summer due to the cost of energy crisis
Our horse's wellbeing also relies on them being able to have some turnout every day so that they can move freely and have the all important g razing time which helps keep their gut, physical and mental health at its best So regular paddock fencing and maintenance is essential And with the cost of post and rail also increasing dramatically we really need your help THANK YOU

French-recruit KANSAS DU BERLAIS left his yard debut well behind when runner-up at Lingfield 12 days ago. He arguably should have won that day and this looks an excellent opportunity for him to make amends with a handy weight-for-age allowance. General Medrano got off the mark in good style over C&D 3 weeks ago and rates the main threat under a penalty.
