WELCOME TO HEREFORD RACECOURSE
Welcome to Hereford Racecourse for an afternoon of jump racing, sponsored by Planet Sport Bet. With less than four weeks until Christmas we have plenty of gifting options available, from gift vouchers, raceday packages to annual membership. Here at Hereford, the annual membership not only includes a yearlong pass to every ARC racecourse but you are also part of the Hereford Racehorse Ownership Club! This annual membership includes a share in the Venetia Williams’ trained horse Paseo. Which means you can experience the thrill of racehorse ownership, including stable visits, regular progress updates, and the opportunity to attend race meetings as an owner when the horse runs, and much more (visit our website for full details www.hereford-racecourse.co.uk/annual-membership). It really presents fantastic value for money at £299 and is a great stepping stone into racehorse ownership! Visit our website for more information or to join up right away. If you require any assistance, please give us a call on 01432 273560 or email info@hereford-racecourse.co.uk. Throughout the season we have our Day at the Races packages available which offer great value, including admission, hot pie, drink & racecard, but these do sell out fast so I would encourage you to get booked in early via the website for your desired fixture. As well as our Snaffles restaurant opening on feature days, we also offer Premier Viewing in this facility for all fixtures in between, which makes the perfect base for the day, again all available via the website www.hereford-racecourse.co.uk. Our next meeting is our Christmas Jumper raceday on Saturday 16th December, so why not dig out that Christmas jumper and come along for a day of racing and cheer to really get you into the festive spirit! We very much look forward to welcoming everyone in just over 2 weeks. Enjoy your day with us today! Best wishes

Star Ratings Explained Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below: Selected to win the race. Good chance of being placed. By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims
hope.
Unlikely to win but not totally without Can be given little or no chance.
OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability. The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances). The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in nonhandicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed. Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating. for novice steeple chasers, the latest hurdle race rating may be shown until such time as the Handicappers allot a separate steeple chase rating. Such ratings are prefixed by the letter h.

A useful winner in bumpers, MAGIC SEVEN overcame some awkward early jumping to ultimately run out a convincing winner of a C&D maiden hurdle 23 days ago and, sure to improve with that under his belt, he earns the vote to follow up under a penalty. Irish raider Reverend Hubert should give him plenty to think about however, with Face d’Music and Saxons Lane others fancied to be thereabouts.

The stable runs JACKPOT DES BORDES today. LONGEST TRAVELLER: THE GREY MAN trained by H Dickin, Midford, 80 miles. RACE SUMMARY
The market will no doubt prove informative but JACKPOT DES BORDES is selected to make a winning start for a yard going great guns at present. Doeshefitthebill also has plenty to recommend him on paper, so Jonjo O’Neill’s charge is put forward as the main danger, with French Symphony and Timeforarum taken to fight out third. 1-2-3: 1.JACKPOT DES BORDES (FR) 2.DOESHEFITTHEBILL (IRE) 3.FRENCH SYMPHONY (IRE) KEY colours
