WELCOME
The Racing League On Sky Sports Racing Handicap, a competitive sprint race at 6.20, is a reminder that Royal Windsor will stage the fourth leg of this year’s competition on Thursday 1 September. London and the South, managed by TV presenter Matt Chapman, are leading the way after the first two weeks, and we hope you will be able to join in the party atmosphere by supporting your favourite team. Before then, we have another major feature meeting, on Saturday 27 August: Ladies Evening, with Ronan Keating in concert after racing. The first race is currently scheduled for 4.30pm. For this special occasion, we have arranged a“Fabulous Fillies”package, offering a chilled glass of Pommery Champagne and a delicious portion of strawberries, available through our website. Please visit windsor-racecourse.co.uk for a variety of booking options, including a luxury three-course meal in the panoramic 1866 restaurant and stylish arrival at the racecourse by riverboat from Windsor town centre. Tickets for the Racing League fixture are also now available, including the“Raceday Ready”bundle which includes grandstand entry, a racecard and a drink of your choice for just £19. This may be our last Monday evening of the year, but there’s plenty more to enjoy at Royal Windsor in the coming weeks, so we hope you will able to visit us again soon.
Best Wishes Liam Johnson Executive Director
As the memorable summer of 2022 continues, we reach our final Monday night fixture of the year with a theme that perfectly captures the traditional atmosphere on the banks of the River Thames: Cocktails and Jazz. The action on the track will precede a classy concert on the lawn by jazz group Love Shack. All racegoers are welcome to attend. The street food stalls will remain open during the music, along with a wide range of bars full of of refreshing drinks ideal for a warm August evening.

The BHA Handicappers allot horses once they to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability.
The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.

ABBREVIATIONS
The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent orm under its optimum conditions. A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances).
