Tonight we play host to week four of racing’s unique team competition, Racing League, in which seven regional teams of horses, trainers, jockeys and their celebrity managers go head-to-head for the sport’s ultimate team prize.
After three weeks of intense competition the league table could hardly be tighter at the top with Chris Hughes’ East Team leading Wales & The West, manged by the ultra- competitive Jamie Osborne, by just seven and a half points, but with 25 points for a win and scoring down to tenth place that could all change in a heartbeat.
With total prize money of £330,000 on offer across tonight’s seven races and just two more weeks left to seal the championship title, we are guaranteed thrilling action on the track. You’ll find full details of all the teams elsewhere in this racecard.
Monday night racing continues next week with Final Fiesta, the last of our themed evenings and an opportunity to get the sombrero out and enjoy tacos, tequila and mariachi bands, amongst a whole host of fantastic Mexican and Spanish entertainment. There will also be live roaming music throughout the afternoon and evening from The Ultimate Party Central Band.
Then just one week later we’ll be turning our attention to the Summer Closing Party when the summer vibes will continue after the racing has finished with a pulsating set from top DJ Sarah Cox on yet another evening combining quality sport and entertainment.
We hope you will be able to join us then, and as ever full details of all upcoming events can be found at: www.windsor-racecourse.co.uk

The Racing League Joker Card
The Joker doubles the points won by the two horses representing the team in a given race. When played, the team receives double points in that given race, but it is not applied to individual jockey points.
Each manager will have the opportunity to play two Jokers during the 2024 competition. One Joker must be played at the team’s designated ‘home fixture’, the other Joker can be played in any of the other 42 races, where at least 12 horses are running (or 11 horses running at Wolverhampton).
The team manager will announce their intention to play a Joker in the Paddock, directly before the selected race This is done by placing a Joker card alongside the team name on the scoreboard in the Paddock.

LONGEST TRAVELLERS: LIFE ON THE ROCKS trained by R Fahey, JEWEL MAKER trained by T Easterby, both Malton, 220 miles.
This competitive handicap can go the way of JEWEL MAKER, who arguably should’ve won at Carlisle recently and moving back up to 1 1/4m looks a good move Due To Henry has fewer miles on the clock than any of these rivals and he is feared most on the back of a solid effort in defeat at Sandown. That said, God of Fire is on the crest of a wave at present and should make another bold bid despite climbing the weights, while First Officer makes some each-way appeal.

RACINGBREAKS RYDER hinted at a revival when third in a big-field Goodwood handicap last time and can capitalise on a handy-looking mark now in this fiercely competitive event.
