Horses can be attended to in the same time as the Paramedic Teams responsible for treating injured jockeys. The second vet follows the action from the stands and coordinates the required response to any incidents. In addition, throughout the meeting a close check is kept on all horses, especially those returning after a race. It is standard policy that in the event of a horse requiring veterinary treatment whilst on site, screens will be erected around the horse. It is designed to afford the vet and the patient some privacy. Please do not assume the worst.

There’s good reason to believe that SWILCAN BRIDGE will have more to offer now moving up in trip on this handicap debut, and he gets the nod. Indeed, Andrew Balding’s charge has improved with each of his three starts, landing a Southwell maiden recently, and is bred to relish this stiffer test. Midgetonamission wasn’t seen to best effect here on Saturday and she rates the main danger ahead of Homeric.
