Veterinary Care

Horse welfare is a priority at Wolverhampton. At every meeting there are two specially qualified Equine vets appointed to look after the welfare of all the horses in action. One vet is present at the start of each race and during the race follows the runners in a vehicle. Horses can be attended to in the same time as the Paramedic Teams responsible for treating injured jockeys. The second vet follows the action from the stands and coordinates the required response to any incidents. In addition, throughout the meeting a close check is kept on all horses, especially those returning after a race. It is standard policy that in the event of a horse requiring veterinary treatment whilst on site, screens will be erected around the horse. It is designed to afford the vet and the patient some privacy. Please do not assume the worst.

VETERINARY CARE

RACE SIX

DELUXE MUSIC went off too hard when only seventh in the Southwell handicap won by Man of Riddles last month, but she’s much better than that and is an appealing alternative to David Simcock’s charge at the likely prices. Your Love Is King is the pick of the remaining trio and will be a threat if ready to roll on debut for new yard. 1-2-3: 1.DELUXE MUSIC 2.MAN OF RIDDLES (USA) 3.YOUR LOVE IS KING KEY colours
