HORSERACE BETTING LEVY BOARD The Horserace Betting Levy Board prize fund schemes provide for the estimated inclusion of £2,197,906 at this racecourse in 2022.

VETERINARY CARE Horse welfare is a priority at Wolverhampton. At every meeting there are two specially qualified Equine vets appointed to look after the welfare of all the horses in action. One vet is present at the start of each race and during the race follows the runners in a vehicle. Horses can be attended to in the same time as the Paramedic Teams responsible for treating injured jockeys. The second vet follows the action from the stands and coordinates the required response to any incidents. In addition, throughout the meeting a close check is kept on all horses, especially those returning after a race. It is standard policy that in the event of a horse requiring veterinary treatment whilst on site, screens will be erected around the horse. It is designed to afford the vet and the patient some privacy. Please do not assume the worst.

GENERAL SAGO could be sharper for his recent comeback outing for his new stable and is selected to take advantage of a drop in grade. Motawaafeq is more than capable at this level and is respected for Mick Appleby. Silent Queen would also be sure to play a prominent role if back to anywhere near her best on her return for a new stable, while a market move for Archie Wason newcomer Wiseacre would also look significant. 1-2-3: 1.GENERAL SAGO (IRE) 2.MOTAWAAFEQ (FR) 3.SILENT QUEEN (IRE) KEY colours

GUSTAV GRAVES took his form up a notch when scoring over C&D and is impossible to oppose under a 5lb penalty for that stylish victory. Gherkin rates a big threat on the back of his good Windsor second with mulitple C&D scorer Steelriver another who needs factoring in.
