Veterinary Care
Horse welfare is a priority at Wolverhampton. At every meeting there are two specially qualified Equine vets appointed to look after the welfare of all the horses in action. One vet is present at the start of each race and during the race follows the runners in a vehicle. Horses can be attended to in the same time as the Paramedic Teams responsible for treating injured jockeys. The second vet follows the action from the stands and coordinates the required response to any incidents. In addition, throughout the meeting a close check is kept on all horses, especially those returning after a race. It is standard policy that in the event of a horse requiring veterinary treatment whilst on site, screens will be erected around the horse. It is designed to afford the vet and the patient some privacy. Please do not assume the worst.

LONGEST TRAVELLER: MISS SARAJEVO trained by Alexandra Dunn, Wellington, 147 miles. RACE SUMMARY
This step back up in trip is unlikely to inconvenience the 10-y-o KENSTONE, who bounced back from a couple of lesser efforts when going close over 7.2f here three weeks ago. He remains on a competitive mark (just 1lb higher than for his latest success) and gets the nod. Available Angel put in a good shift when third to an upwardly mobile type at this course last time and she is second choice ahead of recent Newcastle winner Revoquable and Hellavapace.

BETTING DISPUTES & QUERIES Customers requiring the services of the Betting Ring Manager today should speak to a member of the Racecourse staff for assistance.

Bear Claw has a good chance of reversing recent placings withVirtual Hug on these revised terms and he is feared most.
