Veterinary Care
Horse welfare is a priority at Wolverhampton. At every meeting there are two specially qualified Equine vets appointed to look after the welfare of all the horses in action. One vet is present at the start of each race and during the race follows the runners in a vehicle. Horses can be attended to in the same time as the Paramedic Teams responsible for treating injured jockeys. The second vet follows the action from the stands and coordinates the required response to any incidents. In addition, throughout the meeting a close check is kept on all horses, especially those returning after a race. It is standard policy that in the event of a horse requiring veterinary treatment whilst on site, screens will be erected around the horse. It is designed to afford the vet and the patient some privacy. Please do not assume the worst.

GREAT BRITISH BONUS SCHEME The Great British Bonus (GBB) offers multiple bonuses of up to £20,000 per eligible race for British-bred fillies and mares.
UNAUTHORISED BOOKMAKING It is a condition of entry to this Racecourse that only individuals in possession of a valid betting badge and occupying an authorised pitch are entitled to lay bets on the course of their business. Betting with Bookmakers other than those operating from an authorised pitch is strictly prohibited. Offenders will be escorted from the Racecourse and render themselves liable to prosecution.
VETERINARY CARE Horse welfare is a priority at Wolverhampton.

MOONFIRE makes plenty of appeal on paper for a leading yard no stranger to success with their debutantes and she could be worth siding with to make a winning start from a handy inside draw. LORD RIDDIFORD makes most appeal having posted a solid effort on his return to AW at Newcastle earlier in the month. Clearpoint wasn’t seen to best effect when attempting to follow up his Kempton win last time, so isn’t discounted, whilst Nelson Gay has to bounce back from a couple of underwhelming efforts but scored over C&D in September.
