About me “The essential part of creativity is not being afraid to fail” My name is Ariadna Casino Lozano. I graduated with a first class degree in Industrial Designer at Elisava, Pompeu Fabra. My degree is centered specifically in product design. We focus in product design as a global design gaining valuable knowledge of generating ideas from concepts to physical prototypes. More specifically, I have done software simulation programs, such as Rhinoceros, Autocad, SolidWorks, SketchUp; also some graphic design programs, such as Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Flash Adobe and After Effects. Moreover, I love photography and the whole world of pattern making, and that’s why I’ve taken courses to specialize in it. I am also passionate about the whole fashion sector, and how to improve this, with sustainable projects. Such as the topic of new materials and the experimentation of them. My native languages are Spanish and Catalan. I also have basic knowledge of Italian, French and English. I love working with other people and enjoy the challenge of new experiences outside my comfort zone. I enjoy traveling, music and reading poetry and literature. I am always keen to learn more. So, I am looking forward to immersing myself in a real multidisciplinary environment. I would like to further improve my knowledge of the different possibilities concerning all viable and sustainable design projects which could represent a good solution in this changing world.

Pinhole 01 A pinhole camera is a photographic camera without a lens, since we understand pinhole photography as one in which no optical system is used, that is, lenses that help us focus. This camera consists of: A light-tight box, with only a small hole (pinhole) through which light enters. and a photosensitive material. To produce a clear image, it is necessary that this aperture is very small, around 0.5 mm. The shutter of the camera is normally concisa of a material that does not allow the passage of light with which the hole is manually covered. Due to the size of the aperture, the exposure time is usually much longer than with conventional cameras.

Imagiro Lamp 02 Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. It originates from Japan (in Japanese it means, literally, “to fold” (oru) “paper” (kami). It can be defined as an educational art in which creativity is developed, applied even in mathematics. Based on this art, I wanted to develop this lighting project following its logic and order, in order to obtain an object that could be repeated without problem and at any size. Finally, a lighting project emerged, very minimalist and versatile. Imagiro Lamp, has developed from fireproof onion paper (300g) of color veis. It is a table lamp, it can be used both outdoors and indoors. Its illumination can come given as much by a candle as by a led light.

Planetarium 01 This collection emerged from the concept
of the solar system. I wanted to capture in a collection of complements the greatness of the planets that form it and its peculiarities. Later on, as prototypes of the pieces that formed the collection were made, the idea of making pieces with gold wire arose, generating spheres of different sizes that represented each of the planets that are part of the solar system. The material chosen for the collection as mentioned above has been 24 carat gold, both its chain and the piece that unites the “planet with the chain. In the future I hope to continue developing this project and design the complementary rings and earrings to the necklaces.

Klarhet 02 The objective of this project was based on the design of a fashion accessory, so the chosen accessory was the bag. I decided to design a small collection of handbags based on the concept of the ephemeral in cities and the volatility of everything that lives in them. I wanted the collection to capture those concepts, and what better option than light, transparent, simple materials, etc. For the body of the backpack I chose a silk, characterized by its lightness and transparency; while for the braces, I chose shiny satin. The final appearance of the bag is very suggestive with an urban and chic look.

Kreis. 03 “We wanted to create living things with
contemporary relevance, appropriate to a new lifestyle. Before us there was an enormous potential for experimentation. It was essential to define our imaginary world, to shape our experiences through material, rhythm, proportion, color and shape “ - Gunta Stölz That is why I decided to create a collection that would represent and make a small tribute to these women. The collection is based on the primary colors most used in the Bauhaus era. The blue, the red, the yellow and the green. One of the characteristics of the design of the Bauhaus, were the basic geometric shapes. Therefore, this collection is formed from circles and semicircles. The Kreis collection consists of 3 rings, and some earrings for each color. It is a simple collection, which can be worn with an informal style, but at the same time elegant.

Simon 01 The objective of this project was based on creating an enclosing space for a children’s clothing store. Initially a variety of flat geometries was carried out from seven sections of the space. A 2D analysis for the development of the 3D volumetric system. It was a laborious work to generate the curves for said volume, and that these generated both spaces without intersecting, crossing or overlapping, since the space consisted of two floors. And we made endless catalogs until we found an interesting volume with enough potential to adapt our initial idea to the original space. We experimented with open forms that enclosed the space by the floor and the side walls, since that was where the furniture had been arranged. After much research we finally gave an interesting surface. The resulting volume is open at the top and presents a combination between curves and straight lines.

We liked the more poetic morphology of the upper floor, now presented as a curved, soft and continuous wall that contrasts with the folds of the lower floor. This volume consists of small balconies open to the staircase. This, in turn, is presented as a ramp or slide that distributes circulation to the bottom of the space, as it facilitates access to the upper floor. In addition, the fact of presenting so curvilinear, reminded us of the slides of the parks for children.

Outside In (Habitat Futur) 02 Outside in, it is a concept of a new housing model. This concept is based on biophilia and white spaces, clean, neutral, in which the small corners of nature, outside, etc. are emphasized within a home. This space had as a requirement the peculiarity of having to have an archway inside the arch. This is located in a mezzanine in the middle of the space, converting it into the main point of the house and in order to be able to be observed from any point of the house. Also, as the central point of the house and located on the floor, we find the kitchen and other wet areas, while in the outer side of the space are the dry and more private areas, such as the rooms, the study , etc. The concept of biophilia is present in the corridor that gives to the South East of the building and in the baths where the showers are of rain effect and the lands are continuous and are finished with tiles with greenish tones. It is a very open space, with wide cementation, good storage areas and uniformity and chromatic neutrality.

Introduction We know that an image says more than a thousand words. An image gives us the essential concept of the project, it conveys a feeling to us. With an image you know in which context we can use or find that design, the material that is made and to which target it is directed. Therefore, in the following pages, different photomontages, rendered images and some other graphic design project are shown.
