The story of a city is often intertwined with a river that flows through it. Such is the relation between Love River and the city of Kaohsiung. The memory and the spirit of the city lies within the river since the very beginning. The name of this series constructed by“time”and”tample”,which displays the space time comes with the moving tample of people there. “Timpo Map”is a tourist guiding map that divides the riverside of Love river into seven regions by their various nature of space and pace. Utilizing music to deliver the pace of time, and illustration for visual demonstration , I created seven separate maps for seven unique atmosphere. Subsidizing vision with sound effects and literal introduction, we hope to leave a profound impression and connection for the tourists.“Timpo Map”invites the tourists to ride on the tempo of time and space, gliding through each of the seven regions. Tourists may carve their own memory by recording their very own impression of space and pace, and merge their impressions into the map. These records form a guiding system that leads tourists through the culture of the river from the upper reaches to the lower harbor region.
